Nova Terra

Rework Concept

This is a general rework concept for Nova.

This rework would utilize a new version of Stealth.
Stealthed units are completely invisible to enemies while outside of an enemy Hero's vision range. However, after entering an enemy Hero's vision radius, they become increasingly opaque and visible the closer they get to the Hero.
Additionally, units that are Unrevealable are completely invisible.

Combat Trait

[Trait] Tactical Cloak
Cooldown: 3 sec.
Movement Speed: +10%
Nova gains Stealth after being out of combat for 3 seconds. While Tactical Cloak is active, Nova moves 10% faster.
Taking damage, attacking, using offensive abilities, or channeling ends Tactical Cloak.

[D] Ghost Protocol
Cooldown: 60 sec.
Duration: 1 sec.
Activate Tactical Cloak to instantly gain Stealth and become Unrevealable for 1 second.

This ability requires the level 1 talent Ghost Protocol.

Nova fires a skillshot that deals 300 damage to the first enemy it hits.

Cooldown: 12 sec.
Mana Cost: 65
Damage: 110
Range: 6.5
Slow: 40%
Slow Duration: 2 sec.
Nova deals 110 damage to an target and slows them by 40% for 2 seconds.

[E] Holo Decoy
Cooldown: 14 sec.
Mana Cost: 50
Damage: 10%
Duration: 5 sec.
Cast Range: 8
Create a decoy that attacks nearby enemies for 5 seconds but only deals 10% of Nova's untalented damage.
Holo Decoys cannot inflict fatal damage or apply CC to enemies and do not benefit from talents. Decoys take double damage from all sources.

Using Holo Decoy does not break Tactical Cloak.

Secondary Abilities

[Active] Dominate
Charge Rate: 0.2/sec.
Charges: 100
Activate to convert an enemy Minion to your team or instantly defeat any neutral or enemy non-Elite Mercenary. Converting a normal Minion uses 10 charges of Dominate, and defeating a Mercenary or converting a Catapult uses 25 charges.
Gain 1 charge of Dominate every 5 seconds. Enemy Minion kills grant 1 charge, and enemy Hero kills grant 10 charges.
Nova can store up to 100 charges of Dominate.

Using Dominate does not break Tactical Cloak.

This ability requires the level 4 talent Dominate.

[Passive] Wild Ghost Chase
Cooldown: 10 sec.
Whenever Tactical Cloak activates, a Holo Decoy is spawned at Nova's location.

Activate to toggle this ability on or off.
This ability requires the level 20 talent Wild Ghost Chase.

Heroic Abilities

[R1] Triple Tap
Cooldown: 70 sec.
Mana Cost: 100
Damage: 370
Attacks: 3
Range: 25
Duration: 1.5
Lock on to an enemy Hero and fire 3 shots at them over 1.5 seconds. Each shot deals 370 damage to the first enemy Hero or Structure it hits.

[R2] Precision Strike
Cooldown: 60
Mana Cost: 100
Damage: 460
Radius: 4
Delay: 1.5 sec.
Summon a laser from orbit that deals 460 damage to all enemies in an area after 1.5 seconds.
Precision Strike has global range.

Talents



Level 1


[Trait] Ghost Protocol
Activate Tactical Cloak to instantly gain Stealth and become Unrevealable for 1 second.

[Trait] Apollo Suit
Tactical Cloak's movement speed bonus is increased to 20%.
Nova regenerates 2 mana per second while Tactical Cloak is active.

[W] Rangefinder Oculus
Increases Pinning Shot's range by 2.
Casting Pinning Shot increases the range of Nova's next basic attack within 4 seconds by 2.

[Passive] Scouting Visor
Nova's vision range is increased by 3.
After remaining stationary for 2 seconds, Nova can see through terrain while she remains stationary and for 3 seconds after she next moves.



Level 4


[W] Covert Deployment
After being cloaked for 5 seconds, Nova's next Pinning Shot within 1 second of exiting stealth slows its target by 60% and costs no mana.

[E] Rapid Projection
Reduces the cooldown and mana cost of Holo Decoy by 50%.

[E] Holo Stability
Increases the duration and cast range of Holo Decoys by 100%.

[Active] Dominate
Activate to instantly defeat any neutral or enemy non-Elite mercenary or convert an enemy minion to your team.



Level 7


[Basic Attack] Anti-Armor Shells
Nova's basic attacks ignore armor and reduce armor by 10 for 3 seconds.
Increases basic attack damage by 250% but also reduces basic attack speed by 60%.

[Basic Attack] One in the Chamber
After hitting an enemy with Snipe or Pinning Shot, Nova's next basic attack within 2 seconds deals 70% additional damage.
Casting Snipe or Pinning Shot instantly resets Nova's attack period.

[Q] Sharpshooter
? Quest: Hitting an enemy Hero with Snipe increases its damage by 15%, up to 75%.
If Snipe fails to hit any enemies, all stacks of Sharpshooter are lost.

[Passive] Ambush
While Tactical Cloak is active and within 3 seconds of exiting stealth, Nova gains 30% increased damage.
This bonus is lost if Nova takes damage.



Level 13


[Trait] Ionic Force Field
After being cloaked for 1 second, Nova gains 300 shields and 25 armor that lasts until the shield is destroyed.

[Q] Railgun
Increases Snipe's range by 3 and width by 0.25.
Snipe now travels instantly and pierces all enemies in its path.

[Q] Explosive Round
Snipe explodes if it hits an enemy, dealing 100% of its untalented damage to all nearby enemies.

[W] Double Tap
Pinning Shot gains a second charge with a 2 second cooldown between uses.
Increases Pinning Shot's cooldown by 2 seconds.



Level 16


[Q] Perfect Shot
Hitting an enemy Hero with Snipe reduces its cooldown to 3 seconds and refunds its mana cost.

[W] Crippling Shot
Pinning Shot reduces its target's armor by 20 for for 2 seconds.

[E] Lethal Decoy
Holo Decoys now deal 40% of Nova's untalented damage and can inflict fatal damage.



Level 20


[Trait] Exfiltration Module
Reduces the cooldown of Tactical Cloak by 1 second.
Tactical Cloak's movement speed bonus is increased to 40% for the first 2 seconds, then decays down to normal over the next 2 seconds.

[E/Passive] Wild Ghost Chase
Holo Decoy now has 2 charges and Decoys no longer take double damage.
Whenever Tactical Cloak activates, a Holo Decoy is spawned at Nova's location. This effect has a 10 second cooldown and can be toggled.

[R1] Fast Reload
The cooldown of Triple Tap is reset if its target dies within 1 second of being hit by it.

[R2] Precision Barrage
Precision Strike now has 2 charges with a 3 second cooldown between uses.
Each enemy Hero hit by Precision Strike reduces its cooldown by 20 seconds, down to a minimum of 5 seconds.
