The Peon

"Pity the poor peon, working from dusk to dawn, slaving away in the service of the orc and Horde."

Peonius represents the backbone of Orgrimmar; from his blood and sweat was the mighty fortress of Grommash Hold built. Though at times his kin are lazy, Peonius stands as a true testament to the might and skill of Peons everywhere. As a Specialist Hero, he focuses on unorthodox gameplay to push a lane, defend objectives, and provide minor support to nearby friendly heroes.

Peonius utilizes a unique resource: Gold. Through his Pillage (Passive, non-trait ability), Peonius accrues Gold that is dropped from Minions, Structures, and Heroes upon death, which Peonius can walk over and collect. Drinking from a Fountain or returning to base restores his Gold. His cap of Gold increases by 10 for each level he gains.

Minions drop 2 Gold.
Structures drop 5 Gold.
Heroes drop 15 Gold.
As his primary resource, which doesn't regenerate naturally, it is imperative that Peonius stays near combat in order to quickly retrieve as much Gold as he can, otherwise he suffers greatly and is unable to perform his sole purpose in life - to build!

Peonius is, by all accounts, pathetic. He is no warrior, no shaman - certainly no warlock. He has only one weapon, his mighty Pickaxe, which he uses to mine the shiny gold out of the earth (or in this case, out of the bodies of his foes). Although he is rather weak in melee combat, he employs the use of great buildings to protect him. The tall Watch Tower, which fires arrows from a distance - to the Burrow that only an Orc could love, which he hides within to attack safely behind the Spiked Barricades of his mini-Fort, Peonius has a small, but effective arsenal of structures at his disposal.

Select a damaged Structure to repair over 5 seconds.
Restores 3% of Health and 1 Ammo each second while channeling.

Cooldown: 15 seconds.
Cost: 8 Gold/sec.
Range: 1.5

Note: This can be used on Peonius' own buildings as well. And for obvious reasons, it does not work on the Core.

Primary Abilities

Construct: Pig Farm
Channels for 3 seconds and constructs a Pig Farm that allies can use to restore 10% Health and 5% Mana. Does not restore Gold to Peonius. Lasts until destroyed. Heroes can only use the Pig Farm once every 30 seconds.

Building Health: 200(+20/level)
Cooldown: 12 sec
Cost: 20 Gold
Range: 1.5

Note: Mainly used as a quick restoration for nearby Heroes. Very useful, as it is a separate heal than the Fountain and is nearby for quick access. It also lasts indefinitely, but has a very small health pool, so positioning is important otherwise enemy Heroes (and Minions) can destroy it quickly.

Construct: Watch Tower
Channels for 3 seconds and constructs a Watch Tower that attacks nearby enemies. Prioritizes Heroes.
Tower has a Range of 5. Lasts until destroyed.

Building Health: 500(+30/level)
Cooldown: 10 sec
Cost: 25 Gold
Range: 1.5
Vision Radius: 6

Note: This is used as Peonius' main damage source, giving him solid lane control with a ranged attack and increased vision, while being useful for certain stationary objective points, such as DK and Temple maps. It can also be upgraded at level 4 to have Stealth detect, giving him better defense against stealth assassins who would otherwise destroy him.

Construct: Orc Burrow
Channels for 3 seconds and constructs an Orc Burrow that Peonius immediately enters. While inside his attack turns to Range (5) and he gains 50 Armor. Lasts 5 sec.

Building Health: Same as Peonius.
Cooldown: 15 sec
Cost: 20 Gold
Range: 1.5

Note: While the Burrow is Peonius' only defensive ability, giving him 50 Armor, it also gives him a Ranged attack, allowing him to quickly defend himself and return fire should he find himself in trouble.

Pillage
Peonius can carry a max of 100 Gold. Each level this increases by 10. Minions, Heroes, and Structures killed near Peonius drop Gold which Peonius can collect by moving over them.

Minions drop 2 Gold.
Structures drop 10 Gold.
Heroes drop 15 Gold.

Heroic Abilities

Construct: Barracks
Channels for 3 seconds and builds a Barracks. The Barracks spawns 1 Grunt every second for 10 seconds, which travel down the nearest lane and attack anything in their path. The Grunts last until killed.

Cost: 100 Gold
Range: 1.5

Note: This Ult allows Peonius to become a better lane pusher and a great counter against Mercaneries that the enemy spawns into the lane. At level 20 this can be upgraded to also summon additional Wolf Riders (Raiders from WC3).

Work, work!
For the next 6 seconds, all of Peonius' basic abilities have no channel time.

Cooldown: 60 sec
Cost: 0 Gold
Range: 1.5

Note: This allows Peonius to join in Team Fights, Defend a Fort, or Cap an objective with ease, allowing him to quickly set up an entire "base" with a Pig Farm, a Watch Tower, and to quickly enter his Burrow within seconds. This ability can be upgraded at level 20 to also not incur a cooldown time (allowing him to build the new max of 3 towers) and to also build structures for free, for it's time.

Talents

Level 1:

- Ready to Work! (Passive): Peonius spawns 15 seconds faster after dying. Additionally, increases his Gold cap by 25%.

- Lazy Peons! (Passive): Peonius regens 2% Health every second he remains stationary. If he remains stationary for 5 seconds, his next Construction is channeled 2 seconds faster.

- More Shooty! (Passive): Watch Towers now fire 3 shots with each attack instead of 1 shot.

- Handyorc! (Passive): Reduces the cooldown of Repair by 5 sec and reduces cost of Repair by 2 Gold/sec.
Quest (1): Spend 150 Gold on Repairs. Reward: Reduces cost of Repair by an additional 4 Gold/sec.
Quest (2): Spend 300 seconds on Repairs. Reward: Repair restores an additional 2% of Health and 1 Ammo per second channeling.

Level 4:

- Me Busy. Leave Me Alone! (Passive): When Peonius channels to Construct a building, he gains 50 Armor.

- Kill 'Em! (Passive): Watch Tower deals additional damage equal to 2.5% of the enemy Hero's max health.

- Look out! (Passive): Watch Towers gain +2 Vision Radius and can detect Stealth.

- Pillagin' and Plunderin'! (Passive): Minions drop an additional 1 Gold, Structures drop an additional 2 Gold, and Heroes drop an additional 3 Gold.
Quest (1): Collect 1500 Gold, including Gold already picked up. Reward: Reduces cost of all Constructions by 5 Gold, permanently.

Level 7:

- No Time For Play! (Passive): Increases movement speed by 20%.

- Reinforced Burrows (Passive): Orc Burrows last 1 second longer and Peonius gains an additional +25 Armor while inside.

- Bomb Towers (Passive): Watch Towers detonate 1 second after being destroyed, dealing moderate damage to nearby Minions and Heroes.

- Gold Deposit (Active): Peonius can spend 100 Gold to instantly defeat a Mercenary. Does not work on Bosses.

Level 10:

- Construction: Barracks (Ultimate): Channels for 3 seconds and builds a Barracks. The Barracks spawns 1 Grunt every second for 10 seconds, which travel down the nearest lane and attack anything in their path. The Grunts last until killed.

- Work, Work! (Ultimate): For the next 6 seconds, all of Peonius' basic abilities have no channel time. [Passive]: Increases the amount of Towers that can be built to 3.

Level 13:

- Fattened Pigs (Passive): Heroes regenerate an additional 10% Health and 5% Mana from Pig Farms.

- Refund Please! (Passive): Whenever a building is destroyed, Peonius is refunded 25% Gold of that building's cost.

- Spiked Barricades (Passive): Buildings that Peonius has constructed deal damage to enemies attacking them in melee range.

Level 17:

- Lengthy Arms (Passive): All buildings' placement is increased to Range 2.5. Additionally, Peonius has Range +1 and deals +10% damage while inside of Orc Burrows.

- Additional Reinforcements (Passive): Using Repair on Peonius' own Structures restore twice as much health/ammo, and they gain 25 Armor for 3 seconds.

- Poison Shooty! (Passive): Watch Towers now deals additional poison damage after attacking an enemy target. Poison lasts for 3 seconds and slows the target by 20%.

- Bad Piggies! No wait, Good Piggies! (Passive): When a Pig Farm is destroyed, 2 Wild Boars are set free which attack nearby targets. Lasts 5 seconds.

Level 20:

- Beastiary (Ultimate1): In addition to summoning Grunts, Construction: Barracks also summons 1 Wolf Rider every 3 seconds.

- Zug, Zug! (Ultimate2): Using Work, Work! also allows Peonius to construct buildings for free, without cooldown.

- Iron Plating (Passive): All of Peonius' Structures permanently gain +25% Health and 25 Armor.

- Might of the Pickaxe (Active): Activate to deal splash damage with each attack equal to 35% of his current Gold stockpile. Lasts 12 seconds. 60 second cooldown.
