Praetor Taldarin

Purifier Immortal Hero Concept

Taldarin was one of the few Protoss honored enough to become an Immortal after falling in battle. After his final defeat, a Purifier personality construct of Taldarin was activated to fight alongside Talandar in the End War.

Taldarin has parts from each of the Protoss factions' versions of the Immortal. He has the characteristic shield Barrier of Aiur Immortals as his Trait, the Scatter Cannon of Tal'darim Vanguards as his Q ability, the Shadow Cannon of Nerazim Annihilators as his first Heroic Ability, and the Graviton Pulse of his own SC2 Co-op Purifier hero unit as his second Heroic Ability.

Taldarin launches a cluster of 16 projectiles that deal 20 damage each in a small area when they land.
The travel time increases with range, ranging from 0.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.

Duration: 6 sec.
Taldarin deals 80 damage per second to all enemies within 3.5 range of him for 6 seconds.

Taldarin channels for up to 2.5 seconds on an enemy, suspending them in the air and stunning them for the duration.

Reactivate this ability to cancel Graviton Beam early.

Taldarin can move while Shadow Cannon is firing.

Charge Cooldown: 6 sec.

Radius: 3
Charges: 3
Stun Duration: 0.75 sec.
Taldarin shoots a projectile at a target. On impact, all enemies within 3 range are pulled toward the target, stunning them and the target for 0.75 seconds.
Graviton Pulse has 3 charges with a 6 second cooldown between uses. The cooldown of Graviton Pulse restores all charges.

[Trait] Expanded Plasma Batteries
Collecting a Regeneration Globe reduces the cooldown of Shield Barrier by 2 seconds.
? Quest: Collect Regeneration Globes to increase the shields granted by Shield Barrier by 1%, up to 40%.
? Reward: After collecting 20 Regeneration Globes, Shield Barrier grants 10% more shields.

[Basic Attack] Magnetic Accelerators
Increases basic attack range by 1.

[Q] Trajectory Optimization
Increases the travel speed of Scatter Cannon's projectiles by 50%.

[Passive] Purifier Ordnance
Taldarin deals 200% damage to minions, mercenaries, and monsters.


Level 4


[Basic Attack] Neural Targeting Network
Consecutive basic attacks against the same enemy increases Taldarin's basic attack speed by 10%, up to 50%.
This bonus is lost if Taldarin attacks a different enemy.
? Quest: Make 100 basic attacks against heroes while Taldarin has the full 50% attack speed bonus.
? Reward: Taldarin permanently gains 50% additional attack speed.

[Q] Plasma Bombardment
? Quest: Hit enemy heroes with Scatter Cannon.
? Reward: After hitting heroes 30 times, Scatter Cannon gains a second charge.
? Reward: After hitting heroes 90 times, Scatter Cannon gains a third charge.
There is a 2 second cooldown between charge uses.

[W] Diffusive Plasma
Increases the radius of Disintegration Field by 1.

[E] Tidal Shear
Graviton Beam deals 200 damage over its duration.
Graviton Beam limits the target's positive armor to 0.


Level 7


[Trait/W] Plasma Cyclers
Shield Barrier's cooldown recharges 100% faster while Disintegration Field is active.

[Q] Matter Dispersion
Increase the AoE radius and spread radius of Scatter Cannon by 30%.

[W] Thermal Pump
Increases the mana cost of Disintegration Field by 10.
Disintegration Field's damage increases by 10% every second.

[E] Dual Graviton Projectors
Graviton Beam now has 2 charges, but its cooldown is increased by 4 seconds.
Taldarin can cast and channel both Graviton Beams at once.


Level 13


[Trait/W] Plasma Surge
Activating Shield Barrier while Taldarin is within 3 range of an enemy hero casts Disintegration Field for free.

[Q] Plasma Drivers
Increases the range of Scatter Cannon by 30%.

[E] Grav-lock Systems
Taldarin no longer has to channel Graviton Beam.
Graviton Beam ends if Taldarin moves more than 7 range from the target.

[E] Tractor Beam
Increases the duration of Graviton Beam by 1 second.
Taldarin can now move the target of Graviton Beam.


Level 16


[Trait] Support System Recharge
Shield Barrier heals Taldarin for 50% of its remaining shields after 6 seconds.

[Basic Attack] Particle Diruptors
Taldarin's basic attacks ignore armor.
Taldarin's basic attacks deal 300% damage to shields.

[Q] Fusion Mortars
Scatter Cannon projectiles deal additional damage to enemy heroes equal to 0.5% of their maximum health.

[W] Ablation Field
Damaging and enemy hero with Disintegration Field limits their positive armor to 0 for 2 seconds.


Level 20


[Trait] Hardened Shields
Shield Barrier reduces all incoming instances of damage greater than 200 down to 200.
Damage that causes Shield Barrier to break no longer carries over to health.

[Trait] Immortal Will
Shield Barrier no longer has a maximum duration.

[R1] Phase Cannon
Shadow Cannon can no longer be blocked by heroes or structures, but still does damage to them when passing through them.
Shadow Cannon now ignores armor.

[R2] Gravimetric Overload
Reduces the cooldown between uses of Graviton Pulse to 3 seconds.
The target of Graviton Pulse explodes after 2 seconds, dealing 200 damage to themselves and all enemies within 3 range.
