Rework

Probius, the Curious Probe, is currently a Ranged Assassin in the Nexus. Though the idea of a tiny probe dealing tons of damage is fun, his kit doesn't allow for him to be as strong as he could be without proper setup, and any helpful buffs to numbers would only make him overpowered. Even now if he has a helpful team comp that helps him get his damage out, it still is better to just choose a different ranged assassin like KT, KTZ, or even Orphea.

With the way his kit is interesting due to summoning and setup, his abilities have the potential to be at a good place damage wise, while actually helping his team make comebacks in a tough fight by properly choosing the right time and place to be, making zoning his true strength, rather than his burst potential.
With this rework, I hope to make Probius a little probe to a helpful and engaging Hero, without making him feel like he requires the best frontline to get online, and help him help his allies in ways they didn't expect.

A summoner that buffs and debuffs, Probius can make a fight drag out to the benefit of his allies.

Combat Trait

Warp In Pylon
Cooldown: 10 seconds

Warp in a Pylon that generates a Power Field and grants vision of the surrounding area. Probius only regenerates mana while inside a Power Field. Up to 2 Pylons can be active at a time.

Primary Abilities

Disruption Pulse
75 Mana
Cooldown: 4 seconds
Fire a burst of energy forward, dealing 95(+4% per level) damage to all enemies it passes through, silencing the first enemy Hero hit for .25 seconds. Hitting the center of a Warp Rift will cause it to explode, dealing additional damage. Firing Disruption Pulse while inside a Pylon's Power Field lowers the cooldown of Warp Rift by .5 seconds.

Warp Rift
150 Mana
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Open an unstable Warp Rift at a location that takes 1.25 seconds to arm, which then pulls in nearby enemy Heroes by a slight amount and slows nearby enemies by 25% lasting 9 seconds.
Armed Warp Rifts explode when hit by Disruption Pulse, dealing 175 (+4% per level) damage to nearby enemies and silencing them for 1 second. Stores up to 2 charges.

Photon Cannon
Mineral Stacks: 50
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Warp in a Photon Cannon that deals 85(+4% per level) damage per second and reveals stealthed enemies. Lasts for 12 seconds.
Must be placed within a Pylon's Power Field. Deactivates if it doesn't have a Pylon powering it.
!Quest: Gather Minerals:
At the start of each match, Probius starts with 50 stacks of Minerals. Kill enemies to collect minerals. Minions drop 1 Mineral, Heroes drop 3 Minerals. Maximum 500 Mineral stacks.

Secondary Abilities

Pylon Overcharge
100 Mana
Cooldown: 80 seconds
Activate to allow Pylons to attack enemies within it for 96(+4% per level) damage per second. Lasts 10 seconds.
Passive: Increase the size of Pylon power fields to 11.5.

Heroic Abilities

Null Gate
100 Mana
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Vector Targeting. Project a barrier of negative energy in the target direction that lasts 6 seconds. Enemies who touch the barrier take 118(+4% per level) damage per second and are slowed by 80% for as long as they remain in contact with it.

Shield Battery
100 Mana
Cooldown: 80 seconds
Warp in a Shield Battery in a Pylon Field. The closest allied Hero nearby it will receive 61(+4% per level) shields per second, up to 305(+4% per level) shields that will last for 5 seconds after not receiving shields. The Shield Battery lasts 15 seconds.
Health: 550(+4% per level)
Range: 6.5

Special Mount

Worker Rush
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Activate to gain an additional 50% Movement Speed for 5 seconds.
Passive: Probius moves 10% faster by hovering over the ground.

Talents

Level 1

Echo Pulse
Disruption Pulse now returns to Probius 1 second after reaching its target, dealing 10% more damage on the return trip.


Warp Resonance
? Quest: Hit Heroes with Warp Rift explosions.
? Reward: After hitting 10 Heroes with Warp Rift explosions, increase the explosion damage by 100.
? Reward: After hitting 20 Heroes with Warp Rift explosions, Warp Rift gains 1 additional charge.


Rift Shock
Hitting an enemy Hero with Warp Rift explosion reduces their Armor by 15 for 5 seconds.

Level 4

Photon Barrier
For each Photon Cannon that is alive and powered, Probius gains 20 Spell Armor, up to 60 Spell Armor.


Turbo Charged
Worker Rush grants an additional 10% passive Movement Speed while in a Power Field, and its cooldown is reduced by 10 seconds.
Passive: Probius gains 1 Mineral stack when basic attacking minions, and 5 Mineral stacks when basic attacking enemy Heroes.


Shield Capacitor
Probius gains permanent Shields equal to 15% of his max Health. Shields regenerate quickly as long as he hasn't taken damage recently. While in a Pylon Field, Probius can gain shields up to 30% of his max Health.

Level 7

Particle Accelerator
Disruption Pulse deals 10% more damage for each enemy or Warp Rift hit, up to 70%.


Focus Fire
Photon Cannon can now be ordered to attack an enemy. If an allied Hero is basic attacking the same enemy, their basic attack speed is increased by 20%.


Tower Defense
When two Photon Cannons are active in the same Pylon Field, their reveal and attack range are increased by 20%.

Level 13

Aggressive Matrix
Pylon's Power Field grants allied Heroes 35% increased Attack Damage.


Power Overflowing
Pylon's Power Field grants allied Heroes 15% increased Spell Power and 2 Mana per second.


Gravity Well
Enemies are slowed more the closer they are to the center of the Warp Rift, up to a maximum slow of 60%.

Level 16

Quantum Entanglement
Enemies continue to be slowed for 3 seconds after their last contact with a Warp Rift.


Shoot 'Em Up
Photon Cannons now fire an untalented Disruption Pulse when Probius does towards the same point. If this Disruption Pulse hits a Warp Rift it causes 4 additional Pulses that deal 50% damage to be fired from the impact location in different directions.


Interference
Enemy Heroes hit by Warp Rift detonations are knocked away from the center and have their damage dealt reduced by 35% for 3 seconds.


Warp Field Stabilized
Reduce the duration of Warp Rift by 3 seconds and the arming time by .5 seconds. If the Warp Rift lasts the full duration, an untalented Photon Cannon will take its place.

Level 20

(Active) Pylon Overcharge
Probius can now have up to 4 Pylons active at a time and allow them to attack enemies within them for 96(+4% per level) per second. Lasts 10 seconds.


Gate Keeper
Null Gate lasts indefinitely if either end is within a Power Field. Only one Null Gate may be active at a time.


Hold the Shields
Probius' structures are now warped in with shields equal to 100% of their health and Shield Battery gives allied heroes bonus shielding equal to 5% of their maximum health per second. Probius can now receive shields up to 100% of his maximum health from a Shield Battery.


The Key Pylon
If Probius only has one Pylon active, he and his allies within it gain 50% Spell Power and for 5 seconds after leaving it.
