Scarlet Crusade

High Inquisitor Whitemane and Commander Durand

High Inquisitor Whitemane and Commander Durand are known from the Scarlet Monastery dungeon in World of Warcraft. They are controlled seperately or together by one player, much like The Lost Vikings, but unlike The Lost Vikings, it is usually better to keep Whitemane and Durand together. Their trait and some of their abilities work better when both are alive and in range of each other.

Combat Trait

1
Scarlet Vow (D)
Cooldown: 45 seconds

Whitemane can activate D to ressurect Durand if he dies

Whitemane passively casts Fortitude on Durand increasing his Maximum Health by 20% for 15 seconds. Durand passively casts Blessing of Wisdom on Whitemane increasing her Ability Power by 20% for 15 seconds.

Primary Abilities

1
Focused Will (E)
Cooldown: 10 seconds

This is a shared ability for Whitemane and Durand. For 4 seconds, basic attacks against Whitemane or Durand grant 10 armor and 5% bonus Movement Speed lasting 6 seconds and stacking up to 3 times.

Secondary Abilities

1
Holy Smite (Whitemane Q)
Cooldown: 8 seconds

Channel for 0.75 seconds, then deal X damage to target enemy, and make it an eligible target for Intervene for 10 seconds.
2
Heal (Whitemane W)
Charges: 2
Recharge time: 10 seconds

Heal target ally for X Health. The last charge can only be cast on Durand. Recharges twice as fast after having been cast on Durand.
3
Dashing Strike (Durand Q)
Cooldown: 8 seconds

Durand quickly dashes forward inflicting X damage and slowing enemies in his path by 30% for 2 seconds.
4
Intervene (Durand W)
Charges: 2
Recharge time: 12 seconds

Charge target allied Hero or enemy hero affected by Holy Smite and knock back nearby enemies. A friendly target is granted a Shield absorbing X damage over 6 seconds. An enemy target takes X damage and is stunned for 1.25 seconds. The last charge can only be cast on Whitemane. Recharges twice as fast after having been cast on Whitemane.

Heroic Abilities

1
Scarlet Fire
Create a line of holy energy between Whitemane and Durand lasting 6 seconds and move as they move. Affected allies gain 25 armor, and affected enemies take X damage every second and are silenced for 2 seconds.
2
Deep Sleep
Put enemy Heroes near Whitemane to Sleep, rendering them unable to act for 3 seconds. Every 0.5 seconds, a sleeping target is woken if any of the orignally affected targets take damage.

Note: If all 5 enemy Heroes are put to sleep and your team keeps attacking any of them, they will wake up one by one every 0.5 seconds. Heroes taking damge or being near the one(s) taking damage are prioritized.

Dual Hero Warrior

They classify as a Warrior since their main strength is the survivability and disruption Commander Durand can cause when backed by Whitemane. They can support other friendly heroes too, but only to a limited degree.

The kit is highly inspired by the abilities in the dungeon encounter, but also takes a couple of elements from the Priest, Paladin and Warrior classes in World of Warcraft.

Abilities when Whitemane is selected: Holy Smite (Q), Heal (W), Focused Will (E)
Abilities when Durand is selected: Dashing Strike (Q), Intervene (W), Focused Will (E)
Abilities when both are selected: Focused Will (E)

  • Peel and disruption
  • Counter engage
  • Survivability
Weaknesses
  • Little damage
  • Requires the coordination of two bodies
