Shaffar

Nexus-Prince

Shaffar is a deceptive melee assassin that excels at punishing poor positioning, he can put an enemy out of position on stasis so his team can reorganize into capitalizing on that or simply remove a primary target of the fight for precious seconds, he can also pull enemies closer to him and his team, or apply a dangerous slow to an already out of position enemy, his Astral Traveler acts as a self-enabling ability so he can properly enter a chaotic teamfight or better reposition to punish an enemy.

Pros:
- Dangerous CC that can turn the tide of a battle
- Great at punishing poor positioning
- Has access to many defensive cooldowns
- Ethereal Beacons significantly improve other spells

Cons:
- Weak 1v1 for a Melee Assassin
- Needs constant eye on Ethereal Beacons
- Has a hard time against Spell Armor

[OFF]Shaffar is a boss from World of Warcraft expansion: The Burning Crusade. Bearer of an amazing voice actor, I thought he could receive some love and be added to Heroes of the Storm as an deceptive controlling Melee Assassin.

Combat Trait

1
Ethereal Beacons
Everytime you cast an ability you summon an Ethereal Beacon (Astral Traveler grants 2 stacks). Every Beacon increases you basic attack range. The Beacon surrounds you, attacking when you attack. Also augments all of your abilities. Every beacon has its own timer. Receiving another beacon increases the duration of all other beacons.
Damage: 12(+2*lvl)
Duration: 8 seconds
Max Beacons: 3
Duration Increased: 2 seconds
Basic Attack Range: 1.1

Type: Buff
Affects: Self

Note: Even though they deal damage every time you attack, its damage is still considered Spell Damage

Primary Abilities

1
Stasis Chamber
Locks all targets in the area inside a Stasis Chamber, dealing damage, banishing them. The amount of Ethereal Beacons you have increases the cast range and duration.
Damage: 180(+20*lvl)
Banish Duration: 0.8 second
Range: 3
Range Increase: 1.5 per stack
Duration Increase: 0.2 second per stack
Cooldown: 10 seconds

Type: Area
Affects: Enemies

Note: The Banish will be a CC like Zeratul's Void Prison; the target would be "frozen in time" for the duration of the banish and it cannot receive damage while there, but his cooldowns won't cool, such as his damage over time effects and such.
2
Astral Traveler
Enters your Ethereal form, becoming untargetable and receiving less damage from abilities, also increases your movement speed (20%). Your next basic attack will deal additional damage based on the amount of Ethereal Beacons you have. This ability cools twice as fast while you have 2 or more Ethereal Beacons up. You remain unrevealable for the first 1.5 second.
Duration: 5 seconds or until you attack
Damage Reduction: 50%
Damage Bonus: 15% per stack
Cooldown: 20 seconds

Type: Buff
Affects: Self

Note: You can cast abilities while in Astral Form
3
Nether Winds
Hits all targets in a line (big range, horizontally and vertically), dealing damage. Enemies close to you are slowed; enemies far away are pulled into you. The slow duration and pulling strength increases by the amount of Etheral Beacons you have.
Damage: 203(+12*lvl)
Range: 4 (1-2 slows, 3-4 pulls)
Slow: 40%
Slow Duration: 1.5 second
Slow/Pull Bonus: 15% per stack
Cooldown: 6 seconds

Type: Line
Affects: Enemies

Heroic Abilities

1
Ethereal Death-Disks
For a duration you can unleash your Etheral Disk in a line; dealing damage. While active all your basic attacks are ranged (5.50 range) and all your abilities receive the bonus of the amount of Ethereal Beacons you had when cast.
Duration: 15 seconds
Damage: 190(+22*lvl)
Cooldown: 30 seconds

Type: Buff, Line
Affects: Self, Enemies
2
Soul-Trader
Wraps yourself to the target, stealing movement speed from it. While wrapped your basic attacks will deal additional damage based on the stacks of Etheral Beacons you have. You receive 25 armor while this effect is up. Successfully getting a takedown on the targeted enemy allows you to maintain the buffs for an additional 15 seconds. Increases the duration for every Ethereal Beacon stack you have.
Damage: 360(+25*lvl)
Speed Stealing: 5% every second
Duration: 4 seconds
Duration Increase: 1 second per stack.
