Sonia

The Blue hurricane

A genius who was acknowledged by the Tower of Sages, while not being part of it. She was given the title of 'Blue', but her true identity is that of a homunculus. Her orbs of lightning do not even leave ash in their wake.

Small overview to resume how she should do at the bottom.

Combat Trait

Shock
Sonia heals up by 14 Hp(+4%) when attacking enemies under the effect of "Shock". This bonus is doubled against heroes and tripled instead if the enemy is under the effect of Roots, Stun, Silence or any slow bigger then 40%.

All of Sonia's abilities can put enemies under the effect of Shock for 5 seconds.

Primary Abilities

Lightning strike!
Mana: 50
Cooldown: 12 seconds

- Creates an electrical explosion in front of you. The centre of the explosion appears as a circle at a distance of 3 from you and the AoE reaches all the way up to you (so it has a diameter of 6). It deals 40(+4%) damage every 0.5 seconds and reduces the magic armor of enemies by 1 for 4 seconds (gets reapplied until they leave the AoE). The area lasts 3 seconds.

Quest: Hit enemy heroes with Lightning strike. After every 60 hits, increases the magic armor reduction by an extra point and also reduces the duration of incoming CC effects by 2%. These effects can be stacked up to 25 magic armor reduction and 50% CC duration reduction.

Reward 1: After hitting enemy heroes 300 times, activating Power of lightning! makes a small burst that pushes enemies away, dealing 70 (+4%) damage and inflicting Shock

Reward 2: After hitting enemy heroes 600 times, allows you to use Electric Dash! freely without having to choose a target and instead a destination.

Power of Lightning!
Mana: 40
Cooldown: 15 seconds

- Upon activation, empowers your basic attacs with electricity, allowing you to induce Shock on enemies, also increasing your Atk speed by 30%. Upon attacking the same enemy hero 3 times, silences and roots them for 0.5 seconds. Lasts for 5 seconds.

Electric Dash!
Mana: 40
Cooldown: 10 seconds

- Upon use, dash to an ally target for up to 6 range, leaving a trail of electricity behind. Upon touching it, enemies will be zapped, taking 90 (+4%) damage and being stunned for 1 second. If any allied hero except you hits them before they wake up from the stun, the stun timer will be extended by an extra 0.5 seconds only once. The trail lasts for 3 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

Yanadis
Mana: 80
Cooldown: 50 seconds

- Jump in the air for 0.5 seconds, becoming invulnerable and channeling at the same time Yanadis to land in a location (range of 14), landing back where you jumped after an extra 0.5 seconds (you are invulnerable while landing) as well as Yanadis, dealing 500(+4%) damage on a small radius (diameter of 2). It deals an extra 35% damage on enemies under the effect of Shock as well as stunning them for 1 second.

Lightning Gloves
Mana: 70
Cooldown: 100 seconds

- Hit the ground in front of you, generating 3 circles of lightning, each one of them bigger than the previous one, second one appearing after a delay of 0.5 seconds at a distance of 2 and 1 second on the third one at a distance of 4. First one is about gul'dan's corruption size, the other 2 are 50% and 150% bigger respectively. Enemies caught on the circles will take 100(+4%) damage, an extra 50% and 150% damage on the other circles. They will also be slowed down a 30%, 45% and 75% for 3 seconds respectively. Sonia also heals for 50% of the damage dealt if enemies are under Shock already

Talents

Level 1

(W) Electrical stimulus

- When power of lightning is activated close to an ally hero, you heal 80(+4%) HP. This effect activates per ally hero close to you up to a maximum of 3.

(E) Blazing sparks

- After dashing, you also leave behind 2 big sparks that deal 100(+4%) damage each.

(Passive) Overcharge

- If you can reapply Shock on an enemy 5 times without the timer ever expiring, they will take an extra 160 (+4%) damage.

Level 4

(Q) Sticky electricity

- Enemies inside Lightning strike AoE have a 20% reduced movement speed that stays for 2 seconds after they leave the area. If another ally hero attacks someone while inside the area, the slow will be increased to 40%.

(W) Thunder speed

- Power of lightning also increases your movement speed by 30% for its duration.

(Passive) Beacon of thunder

- Whenever an ally hero spends at least 5 seconds close to you, they are covered by lightning. If an enemy attacks them, the enemy will take 140 (+4%) damage and will be stunned for 0.25 seconds. This effect can only be applied once every 15 seconds per ally.

Level 7

(Q) Unity with lightning

- Shared Quest: Whenever an enemy is affected by a magic damage increase, allies can attack it to get quest progression. Rack up at least 1.000 extra damage inflicted (for each ally separatedly).
- Reward: Allied heroes who complete the quest can also benefit from the advantage of Shock as long as they are close to Sonia (BW circle of heal for radius reference).

(E) I'll save you!

- When dashing towards an ally, also gives them a shield equal to 10% of their maximum health. This shield can't go beyond 200(+4%) HP.

(Q) The reach of lightning

- Increase the range of Lightning strike by 33% as well as it's radius.

Level 13

(E) Blinding dash

- Enemies hit by Electric dash! are also blinded for 3 seconds.

(Q) Muscular cramps

- Enemies affected by a spell armor debuff from sonia, also deal 15% less damage.

(Passive) Shocking deffenses

- Every enemy under Shock effects gives Sonia 5 armor.

Level 16

(Q) Jewel of Amplification

- Increase the time Lightning strike! remains for 1 second and also every hit increases Sonia Atk speed by 5% up to a maximum of 70%.

(W) Lightning Tent

- Atk speed increase is changed to 50% and makes your attacks chain to 1 close enemy hero.

(E) Heart of Baikal

- Electric Dash! can now hold 2 charges. Trails now last an extra second and deal +50% damage.

Level 20

(R1) Eye of the storm

- Yanadis now will generate a tornado in it's location that pushes away enemies that push it. Yanadis still needs to be channeled but now reaches its destination inmediately (Thus the attack occurs 0.5 seconds faster) while Sonia is still coming back into the ground.

(R2) Extra source of energy

- The 2nd circle now roots for 1.5 seconds and the third one stuns for 1.5 seconds. Hitting enemy heroes under the effects of Shock reduces the cooldown of this ability by 1 second. Allied heroes that hit enemy heroes under the effects of Shock with abilities also reduces the cooldown of Lightning gloves by 0.5 seconds.

(Passive) Static attraction

- Enemies under the effects of shock are slightly pulled towards Sonia, Sonia also deals 20 (+4%) damage to enemies that are close to her; every enemy under the effects of Shock increases this damage by 100%. If the 300 hits quest has been completed, Power of lightning will attract instead of pushing away the enemies.

Overview

- The idea behind Sonia is that of a Tank specialized in playing alongside magical team compositions. She's got tools that allow her to survive and protect her teammates at the same time as well as applying CC to help your teammates land their abilities.

- I also wanted to make an evolution during the match outside of talents. The way your Q improves your W and E is something I really liked.

- She plays completely for and along allies, most of the things you can do are much better when someone is behind you and can apply some abilities.

- She can have a build that focuses on killing enemies but it absolutely doesn't come online until level 16 and you really need the 20 as well. Mostly done to have fun or if your mages are lacking.

- I would totally draft her with another frontline with magical damage such as Sonya (rofl).

- Her method of living is the huge amount of heals she has. You can somehow avoid getting bursted in the late game if you have stacked your baseline quest decently enough.
