Stitches (Rework)

Terror of Darkshire

Stitches has been a hero that most of the heroes community that can agree that we love him dearly and ever since Artanis' rework he has been a better Stitches than Stitches with how flexible Artanis' Blade Dash + Phase Prism is. Stitches wants to play just as everyone else so I think this concept should be able to do the few things for Stitches.

1) Make Slam more impactful without needing to talent into it by giving it a slow baseline for about 20%.

2) Gorge should be a more interesting heroic choice by giving it a new functionally by eating allies as well keeping them alive as acting like a moving Ice Block.

3) Hook's niche should be able to land it with precision but its range feels lackluster without Fishing Hook giving at least 20% more range on it will give Stitches a better time landing hooks without relying on the Fishing Hook talent.

I am not the best when it comes to balancing so some things might be undertuned or overtuned. Some abilities may be buffed or nerfed.

Combat Trait

Vile Gas
When struck, damage nearby enemies over time.

Cooldowb: 3 seconds

When damaged, Stitches emits a gas cloud that poisons nearby enemies for 72 (+4% per level) damage over 3 seconds.

Primary Abilities

Hook
Pull the first target towards you.

Cooldown: 16 seconds
Cost: 75 mana

Pull the first enemy hit towards you, temporarily stunning them and dealing 91 (+4% per level) damage

Slam
Damage and slow enemies in an area.

Cooldown: 8 seconds
Cost: 40 mana

Deal 104 (+4% per level) damage to enemies and slows them by 20% for 1.5 seconds within the targeted area.

Devour
Damage an enemy and restore Health.

Cooldown: 20 seconds
Cost: 55 mana

Deal 319 (+4% per level) damage to non-heroic units, or 114 (+4% per level) damage to heroes.
Restores 20% of your maximum Health.

Helping Hand
Pull the first target towards you.

Cooldown: 16 seconds
Cost: 75 mana

Pull the first ally or enemy hit towards you. Enemies are temporarily stunned and take 91 (+4% per level) damage. When used to pull allies, the cooldown is reduced by 50%. (Makes it a 8 second cooldown)

Putrid Bile
Emit a slowing bile puddle

Cooldown: 60 seconds
Cost: 75 mana

Emit bile that deals 40 (+4% per level) damage per second to enemies within, slowing them by 35%. You gain 20% movement speed while emitting bile. Lasts 8 seconds.

Gorge
Completely consume an enemy Hero.

Cooldown: 60 seconds
Cost: 70 mana

Consume an enemy Hero, trapping them for 4 seconds. When Gorge ends, the enemy Hero takes 274 (+4% per level) damage. The trapped Hero cannot move or act and doesn't take damage from other sources.

Tenderizer (Passive):
  • Moved from level 7 to level 4
    New Functionality added.
    Slow amount decreased from 25% to 15% for 1.5 seconds.
    Quest: Every third consecutive attack increases the slow amount by 1% up to 30% for 1.5

Bloated Up (Active):
  • New Talent at level 20
    60 second cooldown.
    When activated increase Stitches' Armor by 40, reducing damage taken by 40% and surrounds Stitches with a Disease Cloud (normal Vile Gas radius) and dealing 32 (+4% per level) damage every second and stacks up to three times.

Vile Gas (Trait):
  • Toxic Gas
    Moved from level 7 to level 4
    Damage decreased from 50% to 33%.
  • Restorative Fumes
    Moved from level 4 to level 7
    New Functionality
    Whenever Vile Gas is applied to an enemy Minion, Mercenary or Hero you are healed for 30 (+4% per level) Health. Healing is increased
    by an additional 1.5% of Stitches maximum Health when Vile Gas damages an enemy Hero.
  • New Talent at level 16; Tear Gas
    Heroes affected by Vile Gas receive 20% reduced healing.

Hook (Q): Hook range increased roughly by 20%.
  • Fishing Hook Removed.
  • Shish Kabob
    Moved from level 16 to level 13.
  • New Talent at level 20; Rusty Hook
    Hooked enemies get stunned for .50 seconds when used at or above 50% of its range.

Slam (W):
  • Heavy Slam Removed
  • Putrid Ground Removed
  • Mega Smash Removed
  • Pulverize
    Moved from level 16 to level 4
    New Functionality
    Quest: After hitting 20 enemy Heroes with Slam increase the range and arc of Slam by 25%.
    Quest: After hitting 40 enemy Heroes with Slam decrease the cooldown of Slam by 2 seconds.
  • New Talent at level 13; Sticky Cleaver
    When you use Slam on an enemy Hero affected by Vile Gas increase the slow amount from 20% to 60% decaying over 2 seconds.
  • New Talent at level 16; Trauma
    After hitting 2 or more Heroes with Slam increase its damage by 75% and applies Vile Gas to all enemies hit.

Devour (E):
  • Savor the Flavor
    Move from level 7 to level 1
    New Functionality
    Quest: Using Devour on an enemy Hero permanently increases your Health Regeneration by 1.5 per second up to 22.5 Health Regeneratio
    per second.
    Quest Reward: After using Devour on an enemy Hero 15 times, Devour will also heal you for an additional 10% of your maximum Health
    over 3 seconds if used on an enemy Hero.
  • New Talent at level 7; Good for the Bones!
    When Devour heals Stitches over his maximum Health, the remainder of that amount increases Stitches's maximum Health for 6 seconds.
    (ex. Stitches at 90% HP and Stitches use Devour increases his max HP by 10%.)
  • New Talent at level 16; Take a Chunk Out
    Devour deals bonus damage to heroes equal to 10% of their maximum health.

Putrid Bile (R): Damage increased from 37 (+4% per level) to 41 (+4% per level)

Gorge (R):
  • Hungry Hungry Stitches renamed to Dinner for All!
    Added Functionally
    Stitches can now Gorge allies for half of the normal duration (2 seconds)
    When Stitches receives any healing effects, all allied heroes Gorged gets for 50% of the amount healed for its duration.

Talents

Tier 1/Level 1

1. Dampen Magic: Every 8 seconds, gain 50 Spell Armor against the next enemy Ability and subsequent Abilities for 1.5 seconds, reducing the damage taken by 50%.

2. Hungry For More: Quest: Gathering a Regeneration Globe increases your maximum Health by 30, up to 900
Quest Reward: Upon gathering 30 Globes, increase Movement Speed by 10%.

3. Savor the Flavor (E): Quest: Using Devour on an enemy Hero permanently increases your Health Regeneration by 1.5 per second up to 22.5 Health Regeneration per second.
Quest Reward: After using Devour on an enemy Hero 15 times, Devour will also heal you for an additional 10% of your maximum Health over 3 seconds if used on an enemy Hero.


Tier 2/Level 4

1. Tenderizer (Passive): Basic attacks slow enemy Movement Speed by 15% for 1.5 seconds.
Quest: Every third consecutive basic attack increases the slow amount by 1% up to 30%.

2. Toxic Gas (Trait): Increase Vile Gas radius by 25% and damage by 33%.

3. Pulverize (W): Quest: After hitting 20 enemy Heroes with Slam, increase Slam's range and arc of Slam by 25%.
Quest: After hitting 40 enemy Heroes with Slam, decrease the cooldown of Slam by 2 seconds.


Tier 3/Level 7

1. Restorative Fumes (Trait): Whenever Vile Gas is applied to an enemy Minion, Mercenary or Hero you are healed for 30 (+4% per level) Health. Healing is increased by an additional 1.5% of Stitches maximum Health when Vile Gas damages an enemy Hero.

2. Last Bite (E): If an enemy dies within 3 seconds of being damaged by Devour, its cooldown is reduced by 12 seconds.

3. Good for the Bones! (E): When Devour heals Stitches over his maximum Health, the remainder of that amount increases Stitches's maximum Health for 6 seconds. (ex. Stitches at 90% HP and Stitches use Devour increases his max HP by 10%.)


Tier 4/Level 10

1. Putrid Bile (R): Emit bile that deals 41 (+4% per level) damage per second to enemies within, slowing them by 35%. You gain 20% movement speed while emitting bile. Lasts 8 seconds.

2. Gorge (R): Consume an enemy Hero, trapping them for 4 seconds. When Gorge ends, the enemy Hero takes 274 (+4% per level) damage. The trapped Hero cannot move or act and doesn't take damage from other sources.


Tier 5/Level 13

1. Flea Bag (Passive): Whenever you are stunned or rooted, reduce your Basic Ability cooldowns by 6 seconds.

2. Shish Kabob (Q): Hook can pull up to 2 targets.

3. Sticky Cleaver (W): When you use Slam on an enemy hero affected by Vile Gas increase its slow amount from 20% to 60% decaying over 2 seconds.


Tier 6/Level 16

1. Tear Gas (Trait): Heroes affected by Vile Gas receive 20% reduced healing.

4. Trauma (W): After hitting 2 or more Heroes with Slam increase its damage by 75% and applies Vile Gas to all enemies hit.

3. Taking a Chunk Out (E): Devour deals bonus damage to heroes equal to 10% of their maximum health.


Tier 7/Level 20

1. Regenerative Bile (R): Putrid Bile lasts 2 seconds longer, grants an additional 10% Movement Speed and heals for 51.635% (+4% per level) of the damage dealt.

2. Dinner for All! (R): Gorge can now be used on ally Heroes for half of its duration and can be repeatedly recast on enemy and allied Heroes until the first target is expelled. Any healing effect on Stitches while an allied Hero is Gorged they will be healed for 50% of the amount healed.

3. Bloated Up (Active): Activate to increase Stitches' Armor by 40, reducing damage taken by 40% and surrounds Stitches with a Disease Cloud and deals 32 (+4% per level) damage every second and stacks up to three times.

4. Rusty Hook (Q): Hooked enemies now get stunned for .75 seconds when you use Hook at 50% or above its range.
