Purifier Prototype

Background
Found and reactivated by Artanis as part of the Purifier revival program. He was imprinted with Fenix's memories prior to the great war. Now, having found an identity and name for himself, Talandar leads the Purifiers alongside the Firstborn not as slaves but as fellow Templar.

Design Philosophy
Talandar will rely on his ability to take tremendous amounts of punishment and protect his team's back line by breaking up enemy positioning. Should the situation need he may also deal punishing AoE damage to enemies foolish enough to clump up on him.

Combat Trait

Purifier Shell
When taking fatal damage, Talandar becomes invulnerable and his basic abilities have their cooldowns reset and have their energy costs removed for 3 seconds.

Primary Abilities

Thunderous Charge
Ability Key: Q
Energy Cost: 50
Cooldown: 10 seconds

Charges in the selected direction gaining 75% increased movement speed and becoming unstoppable while charging and for 1 second after ending it. If he collides with an enemy, they are knocked aside and dealt 150 (+4%/level) damage. You may cast the ability while active to cancel it.

Heavy Swing
Ability Key: W
Energy Cost: 30
Cooldown: 5 seconds

Deals 142 (+4%/level) damage to nearby enemies.

Shield Burst
Ability Key: E
Energy Cost: 75
Cooldown: 25 seconds

Generates a shield equal to 100% of your maximum Health that decays over 5 seconds. This ability automatically activates when taking damage below 50% life.

Secondary Abilities

Orbital Deployment
Cooldown: 60 seconds

Deploy Talandar to the battleground, dealing 200 (+4%/level) damage to enemies in the impact zone and stunning them for 1 second.

Heroic Abilities

Reconstruction
Ability Key: R
Energy Cost: 100
Cooldown: 150 seconds

Heals Talandar for 50% of his Health and gain 100% increased regeneration and healing over 10 seconds. The ability also automatically triggers when it is off cooldown and Talandar takes fatal damage.

Upgrade: Vengeful Rise - Knocks enemies away from Talandar and slows them by 50% for 3 seconds when he revives.

Solarite Flare
Ability Key: R
Energy Cost: 100
Cooldown: 100 seconds


Talandar unleashes burst of energy from his body saturating nearby enemies with volatile energy. After 2 seconds the energy explodes dealing 270 (+4%/level) damage to them and nearby enemies. Any enemies hit with the blast will also have the effect placed on them. Enemies cannot be affected again within 10 seconds but can still be damaged when hit by the explosion from other targets.

Upgrade: Purification - enemy heroes hit by the purifier beam trigger a second explosion after 2 seconds.

Nice trait and ults but the basic abilities feel like you copied and pasted them.

His abilities are based on his abilities in the campaign but I modified some elements in order to make him balanced and as much as possible not overlap with another hero's abilities.

Cool concept but about the trait...
How long does that cooldown?
Even when it cooldown is a long time it still feel so OP to become invulnerable for 5 seconds.

good point. I'll add a cooldown to it. Maybe 100 seconds. It was supposed to be usable always.

Edit: I just shortened the time to 3 seconds. The theme of his trait was that he would unload his abilities one last time before being taken down, and at the time 5 seconds felt like enough time for it.
