The Engineer

Defensive Builder

Background:
This amiable, soft-spoken good ol' boy from tiny Bee Cave, Texas loves barbecues, guns, and higher education. Natural curiosity, ten years as a roughneck in the west Texas oilfields, and eleven hard science PhDs have trained him to design, build and repair a variety of deadly contraptions.
Description:
The Engineer is a really diverse hero, with many talents that can change how you use his abilities. His reliance on Metal instead of Mana might be his best trait at first, but it can be depleted really quick and make you and your constructs vulnerable, building a Dispenser will help you a bit, but it only lasts for a short 6 second duration so it should be used only at the correct time, or when you are low on metal and want to also heal your allies in the process. The Engineer in the right hands can be a force to be dealt with, if they have great knowledge of when and how to use their constructs, abilities and metal with no problem.

Combat Trait

Metal
The Engineer has 550 Metal replacing his Mana, which is used when building and repairing your constructs.
Metal can't be regenerated and can only be replenished by going to the Healing Fountain, building a Dispenser or going back to your spawn.

Destroy
While PDA is active, your trait is replaced by Destroy which allows you to take apart a built construct, in change for metal.

Primary Abilities

Cooldown: 1 second

Take out your PDA which gives you 3 alternate abilities you can use Metal for.
Your trait is then replaced by Destroy which allows you to take apart a built construct, in change for metal.

Shotgun
Cooldown: 3 seconds

Fire three cone Shotgun blasts in front of you, damaging enemies hit.

Move Out
Cooldown: 4 seconds

Store one of your constructs, taking them with you, allowing to place them at another location.

Secondary Abilities

Sentry Gun
Metal: 200 (150 Metal [Level 2] / 300 Metal [Level 3])

Construct a [Level 1] Sentry Gun that damages all enemies in it's firing radius.
The Sentry Gun can be upgraded to [Level 2] for 150 Metal and [Level 3] for 300 Metal, which increases it's damage.

Dispenser
Metal: 150 (200 Metal [Level 2] / 350 Metal [Level 3])

Construct a [Level 1] Dispenser that lasts for 6 seconds which regenerates health and restores your metal.
The Dispenser can be upgraded to [Level 2] for 200 Metal and [Level 3] for 350 Metal.

Teleporters
Metal: 80

Construct an Entrance Teleporter and an Exit Teleporter which can teleport up to 6 people.

Cooldown: 90 seconds

Take control of your active Sentry Gun and manually fire it for 8 seconds.

Construct a Mini Sentry Gun that lasts for 7 seconds and damages enemies like the normal Sentry Gun.

[Quest] Built to Last: Repair 700 Sentry Gun damage to increase it's firing speed.

[Quest] Circle the Wagons: Spend 1500 Metal to reduce the cooldown of your primary abilities.

[Passive] Doc, Stock and Barrel: Heal yourself while repairing your constructs.

[PDA: Sentry Gun] Doc Holiday: Regenerate Health faster while an enemy is being shot by your Sentry Gun.

Level 4


[Passive] If You Build It: Reduce the time it takes to build one of your constructs.

[PDA: Sentry Gun] Search Engine: Your Sentry Gun fires at the current lowest Health enemy in it's radius.

[PDA: Dispenser] Get Along: Make it so your Dispenser self repairs every 2 seconds.

Level 7


[PDA: Dispenser] Texas Two-Step: Increase the amount of health and metal that is replenished by the Dispenser.

[Shotgun] Quick Draw: Gain another three shot Shotgun charge.

[Passive] The Wrench Connection: Allows you to repair constructs faster.

Level 10


The Wrangler: Take control of your active Sentry Gun and manually fire it for 8 seconds.

Gunslinger: Construct a Mini Sentry Gun that lasts for 7 seconds and damages enemies like the normal Sentry Gun.

Level 13


[The Wrangler] Unforgiven: Increase The Wrangler duration by 2 seconds.

[Passive] Building Block: Repair your constructs from anywhere on the map.

[PDA: Teleporters]Land Grab: Allow 8 people to be teleported through the Entrance Teleporter.

[Metal] Death Metal: Reduce the cost of your constructs by 50 Metal.

Level 16


[Destroy] Trade Secrets: After destroying one of your constructs, gain the ability to place it again with no additional metal cost.

[Gunslinger] Revengineering: Place down a second Mini Sentry Gun.

[PDA: Sentry Gun] No Man's Land: Increase the firing range of the Sentry Gun.

Level 20


[The Wrangler] Battle Rustler: Control your Sentry Gun from anywhere on the map.

[Gunslinger] Rio Grind: Make it so your Mini Sentry Gun self-repairs.

[Shotgun] Silent Pardner: Stun all enemies hit by your third Shotgun shot.

[Sentry Gun] Erecting An Escape: Increase your movement speed while Move Out is active.
