The P.U.G.

Five Man Instance Group

The Pick-Up-Group: a rag tag team of adventurers with one thing on their mind - - loot. Lead by the fearless Party Leader (the only one who knows what he's doing) this group faces it all! Wiping on trash. Getting lost. Nothing can stop our heroes!

The team moves together, with the player controlling the Party Leader: a Human Warrior named Swordboard. He is accompanied by four other 'players':
-a Draenei Priest named Healbot
-a Dwarf Mage named Iceyfirex
-a Night Elf Rogue named Stabzz
-a Worgen Hunter named Badshot (with his trusty pet Mittens)

Appearance: Each member of The P.U.G. is relatively small; both for logistical reasons (there are five of them moving together) and to emphasize the fact that they aren't themselves powerful beings on par with the lore giants that populate the HotS roster. The P.U.G. is equipped in 'questing greens', a motley assortment of unimpressive armor. Their master skin gives them epic armor.

An alternate skin changes the party to Horde players:
-Swordboard becomes an Orc.
-Healbot become a Blood Elf.
-Iceyfirex becomes a Troll.
-Stabzz becomes an Undead.
-Badshot becomes a Tauren.

The P.U.G. members will all attack the same target, unless using the attack+move command, in which case they will each attack the target closest to them. For the purposes of collision I imagine only Swordboard being able to body block, or perhaps the passive party members do provide collision, but can be "pushed" out of the way slightly as enemies attempt to run through them.

Combat Trait

1
Corpse Run
Any P.U.G. member that dies immediately spawns in your base as a ghost. This ghost will run towards the rest of the party. Once reaching the party they will respawn. Ghosts run 20% faster.

Party members that die grant 10% takedown experience to the enemy (they will likely die often). If Swordboard dies the group 'wipes' and The P.U.G. will receive a normal death timer.

20% of damage dealt to Swordboard is divided among the other P.U.G. members.
The P.U.G. takes 50% reduced damage from area of effect spells.

Primary Abilities

1
Swordboard
Active: Reduce the damage dealt to all P.U.G. members by 20% for 2 seconds. 10 second cooldown.

Passive: All damage dealt to Swordboard is reduced by 30%.
2
Healbot
Active: Heal the target P.U.G. member for a small amount. 4 second cooldown.

Passive: Healbot periodically casts renew on an injured P.U.G. member every 4 seconds. (Healbot does not attack)
3
Iceyfirex
Active: Launch a Fireball at the target enemy. 2 charges, 8 second recharge.

Passive: Iceyfirex's basic attacks lower your cooldowns.
4
Stabzz
Active: For 3 seconds, cause Stabzz's attacks to apply a 5% stacking slow that caps at 15%. 8 second cooldown.

Passive: Stabzz is cloaked when not attacking.
5
Badshot & Mittens
Active: Sic Mittens on the target enemy. Mittens' attacks cause her to stick to the target (like Zeratul's ult). 15 second cooldown.

Passive: Grants an aura to all P.U.G. members that increases their damage by 10%.

Heroic Abilities

1
High Level Guildie
Swordboard 'drops group' and is replaced by his high level guild friend: Theraider. Damage dealt to Theraider is reduced by 50%. In addition he inspires The P.U.G., increasing their attack speed and damage by 20%. Talents that apply to Swordboard also apply to Theraider.

This effect lasts 60 seconds or until The P.U.G. achieves 3 hero take downs. 2 minute cooldown.
2
Raid Leader
Mark the target enemy hero, applying a skull icon over their head. Damage dealt to that target is increased by 5% for each unique hero who has damaged that target in the past 5 seconds. Mark lasts 10 seconds. No cooldown.

Cast Raid Leader on another target to apply an X on that target (that applies the same debuff). Casting Raid Leader on a target already marked with a skull will change the mark to an X. Only two marks can be up at one time.

Special Mount

1
Speed Run
The P.U.G. gains 30% increased Movement Speed for 4 seconds. 30 second cooldown.

Also affects P.U.G. members who are currently corpse running.

Talents

Level 1:
Kick Badshot: Remove Badshot & Mittens from the group, replacing him with a Warlock (Gnome/Goblin) named Soulman. Soulman comes with a fel hunter and different abilities (talents that affect Badshot apply to Soulman)[THIS DOES NOT CONSUME A TALENT]:
--Active: Silence the target hero for 1 second. 8 second cooldown.
--Passive: Increases the health of all P.U.G. members by 10%.
Master Looter: (Q) Each hero takedown grants you 1 'Epic Loot', which can be cast on a P.U.G member to permanently increase their health and damage/healing by 5%.
Group Loot: Each hero takedown increases the health, damage, and healing of The P.U.G. by 1%.
Free For All: If a P.U.G. member lands a killing blow on an enemy hero their health and damage is increased by 10%.

Level 4:
Ninja: Each health globe you pick up permanently increases Stabzz's damage by 10%, but reduces the effectiveness of health globes' healing on The P.U.G. by 10% each time as well.
Hunter Loot!: Minion kills permanently increase the damage dealt by Badshot & Mittens by 1%.
Mage, Table For Five: Increases the rate at which Iceyfirex's basic attacks reduce your cooldowns.
Shield Wall: Increases the damage reduction of Swordboard's active ability to 30%.
We'll Get 'Em This Time!: Increases the speed bonus of ghosts to 30%.
Can I Get A Summon?: Gain a charge of 'Summoning Stone' once every minute. A P.U.G. member that dies is teleported back to the group after 5 seconds, consuming a charge of Summoning Stone.

Level 7:
Frost Spec: Turns Iceyfirex's fireballs into frost bolts. Frost bolts do less damage but apply a 5% stacking slow that lasts for 3 seconds.
Arcane Spec: If Iceyfirex depletes his Fire Ball charges he will immediately launch 3 arcane missiles at the last target he attacked.
Stop Standing In The Fire: Increases the effectiveness of Healbot's heals by 50% on targets that are below 50% health.
Power Word: Shield: Targeted heals by Healbot grant the target a shield equal to 20% of their max health for 2 seconds.
I Think We're Lost...: If you have not dealt damage to or been dealt damage by an enemy hero in the past 10 seconds receive a 20% movement speed bonus until the next time you deal damage to or are dealt damage by an enemy hero.
AFK: (W) Causes the target P.U.G. member to remain in place. While they stay in the same spot their vision radius gradually increases. Cast AFK on that target again to have them rejoin the group.

Level 10:
High Level Guildie: Swordboard 'drops groups' and is replaced by his high level friend: Theraider. Damage dealt to the Theraider is reduced by 50%. In addition he inspires The P.U.G., increasing their attack speed and damage by 20%.
Raid Leader: Mark the target enemy hero, applying a skull icon over their head. Damage dealt to the target is increased by 5% for each unique hero that has damaged that target in the past 5 seconds.

Level 13:
Adrenaline Rush: Increases Stabzz's attack speed by 30%.
Let The Tank Pull...: Increase Badshot's range by 50%.
Spirit Bond: Increases the effectiveness of Badshot's aura by 5%. In addition if Badshot dies this aura fades at the rate of 1% per second instead of instantly disappearing.

Great Tanking!: Increases the damage reduction of all attacks against Swordboard to 40%.
Great Healing!: Reduces the time between Healbot casting renew to 3 seconds.
BRB: Any passive P.U.G. member whose health reaches 20% will become dormant for 3 seconds, healing themselves for 10% of their health per second. While dormant they cannot attack or cast spells, but continue to move with the group. Cannot occur more than once every 30 seconds per P.U.G. member.

Level 16:
Vanish: Stabzz is permanently cloaked.
Last Stand: When taking fatal damage, Swordboard is immediately granted a shield equal to 100% of his full health for 3 seconds. After 3 seconds this shield is lost and Swordboard is healed for 1.
Sorry Guys, I'm Lagging: Any killing blow against a passive P.U.G. member is instead turned into a damage over time effect that last for 5 seconds.
Intervene: (E) 50% of the damage dealt to the target P.U.G. member is instead dealt to Swordboard for 3 seconds.
Tank & Spank: Each basic attack against Swordboard increases the damage of the other P.U.G. members by 1%, to a maximum of 10%. This effect disappears after 3 seconds without Swordboard taking damage.

Level 20:
[Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]: Equip Theraider with a legendary sword that causes his attacks to chain to nearby enemies. Enemies dealt damage this way take 10% increased damage from The P.U.G.
CC Please: While you have a mark up on an enemy hero Iceyfirex's active ability also polymorphs targets.
Ding!: Grants you an experience bar that fills as you take down enemy heroes. When your experience bar is full The P.U.G. gains a level (increasing their level above the rest of their team). The first level requires 2 hero take downs, with each level increasing the requirement by 1.

gravedigging comment but I think the rogues passive is useless until level 16, if his/her talent is picked. They also have some bad talents. Id replace them with a ret paladin who becomes a off tank when Swordboard is almost dead, taunting and then bubbling for a few seconds against the enemy until Swordboard receives more health.
ALSO the warlock needs talents
Love the idea, love the talents. Great job man.

everything looks amazing other than some of the talents. You should dedicate 3 different tiers to the basic abilities like they do with the lost vikings instead of having a choice of taking the talent with q or not so then if you build them you might only have an e button and no w or q. it will possibly grant them more power. also you should maybe have it where each talent grants passives to each of them instead of choosing a talent for just one of them each tier. for instance you take AFK, you then also make one or two more types of q abilities and each ability has different passives like if Stabzz goes AFK they are purely invisible as in can not be seen at all. or even have like if other members of P.U.G. are in the afk vision then they get a buff called protect the weak that increases their dmg for 10% and puts a magic and basic attack shield on the afk player for 10 per ally party member is in the vision. so it could also be used in a fighting scenario and also utility if you just leave the person afk.

Why isn't this in the game yet? :(
I need it NOW (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Edit: I linked this to a Reddit page in hopes that it would get more recognition
I hope that's okay, sorry for not asking first :S

This is the best hero concept ever. I suggest a legendary skin option: a Horde PUG that is slightly different from yours:

Orc warrior Loktarograr
Undead priest Sýlvánás
Female BE rogue Valeeeeera
Troll mage Icelanceyomum
Taurenhunter Peacefulbeef

All these nicknames actually reflect the PUG nicknaming conventions and trends I have encountered when playing Horde in WoW.

I was wondering if you would make the 10% damage bonus per heal globe cap at 100% for stabzz? Because at that rate, I'd be farming globes for the whole game and end up with a 500% damage bonus for stabbzz...
rogues are op....

Remember that Stabzz is just 1 of 5 sources of damage for The P.U.G., so sure you could spend all that time farming globes to amp him up, but that's putting all your eggs in one basket.

id say put it to 50% because then if you go to 100% then none of the other members of P.U.G. will get heals from healing globes.

I imagined the mage being a human, the priest being a bald dwarf and the hunter being a night elf that goes into a belf as hordie skin.

I really, REALLY like the concept though. Wish I had the idea first.

I don't picture Theraider being a bear, just a super geared warrior.

The "I Think We're Lost" talent was meant to mimic the feeling of running around a dungeon without encountering a boss for awhile. Maybe for balance reasons it should just be until you take damage though.

I imagined Mittens being a Nightsaber for the Alliance (normal) skin (Worgen end up in Darkshore, like the Night Elves), and a Lion for the Horde skin (Mulgore and the Barrens have several lions).

For his Master Skin, he could man up and tame some sort of rare/elite version of the pet family he ends up using. (He may even be Beast Mastery already, considering he has his pet out. Spirit Beasts are possible?) The pet could match whatever Epic set he ends up using.

In Speed Run's description, "effects" should be "affects".

Theraider would probably come in as a Bear druid (as he's replacing the tank). However, he'd have to be a bear of a race you already used.

Druids can't use one-handed swords; there's no way he could wield Thunderfury.

His Master skin could be the Incarnation: Son of Ursoc talent shapeshift- the bear with armor on.

The talent "I Think We're Lost" from level 7 would allow you to target minions/Mercenaries while keeping the speed boost. Just wondering if that was intentional.

I still really want to play these guys someday.
