Tirion Fordring

The Ashbringer

Tirion Fordring was one of the first five Paladins ever on Azeroth. Trained by the Legendary Archbishop Alonsus Faol, he and his fellow Paladins helped turn the tide of the Second War against the Horde. Tirion Fordring was once exiled by his brethren for acts of uncompromising compassion towards an enemy of the Alliance. Later in his life, he was once again called into service to be the wielder of the Legendary Ashbringer. With it's awesome power in hand, he now fights in the nexus burning evil where ever it may be.

Design Concept

I've positioned Tirion in this design concept to be something of an area denial. Insofar, all heroes that have been area denial have often been heroes intended to be played at range in heroes such as Jaina and Probius. Tirion is intended to both act as area denial while also giving his team a benefit for sticking close to him. While his life pool isn't intended to be as strong as any warrior, he has sustain to make for this.

I've also played more Ashbringer's mythos of "burning 1000 undead with a single slash" heavily while also combining a lot of core fantasy elements of the Retribution Paladin.
