The Crimson Rogue

In this scenario, Valeera is a high mobility assassin that relies on exploiting the position of her enemies in order to unleash her deadly combos.

Combat Trait

1
Combo Points
Combo Points are accumulated as special attacks are performed, then spent on other special attacks. The number of combo points obtained is represented by small yellow circles on the right side of the your portrait in the UI (or next to your health bar). You need to gather 3 points to activate the passive, unlocking new abilities for Q, W and E. Each primary ability generates 1 point.

Primary Abilities

Backstab
Stab the target, causing physical damage.

Damage increased by X% when you are behind your target.

Flying Dagger
Valeera throws a dagger that deals little physical damage to her target, revealing them for X seconds.

Shadowstep
Step through the shadows to appear behind your target and gain X% increased movement speed for 2 sec.

Secondary Abilities

Kidney Shot
Unlocked when you activate your passive.

Deals the same base damage as "Backstab" (including bonus dmg if you're behind your target), applying a stun effect that lasts for X seconds.

Fan Of Knives
Unlocked when you activate your passive.

Valeera sprays knives in a small "V" angle* in front of her. Dealing physical damage and revealing all the targets for X seconds. This skill has a smaller range (in comparison to flying dagger), but it ignores colision - think of Valla's multishot.

Darkstep
Unlocked when you activate your passive.

Embrace the darkness, becoming stealthed* for X secs, and appear behind your target gaining X% increased movement speed for the same duration. You may also use this skill without a target, as a "vanish", even though this way you won't teleport to anyone, you can still use the seconds of stealth + mov spd as an escape mechanism.

* Using your "Q" or "W" abilities, receiving damage and performing AA's break your stealth. Using "E" again won't break it though.

Heroic Abilities

Shadow Dance
Valeera enters a dancing stance for X seconds. (She should change her appearance while using this ult, with some kind of purple/black glow to indicate that she's on this stance).

She can cast "shadowstep" and "darkstep" with lower cost and extremely lower cooldown, gathering combo pts while doing so (only with shadowstep). Moreover, these abilities now deal a little bit of physical damage if your target is an enemy.

Mark of Kathra'Natir
Valeera enters a stance for X seconds, getting possessed by Kathra'Natir, changing her appearance while doing so.

In this form, Valeera becomes immune to CC. Moreover she can activate the ult again to cast a "fel magic explosion" in a circle area around her after channeling still (with a proper animation so you know what she's about to do) for 1.5 seconds, doing heavy dmg and leaving a ground of "fel magic"* that lasts until she loses the mark of Kathra.

* While inside the area, Valeera's health/second gains a huge boost.

* I'm thinking about changing this effect, maybe we can come up with sth that interacts with her enemies/allies.

A few Talents Ideas (WIP)

Preparation: Reset the cooldown of your primary skills; OR reduce the costs of them permanently (Level 20);

Deadly Poison: Your basic attacks poison your enemy;

Dismantle: Silence your enemy for X seconds;

Sprint;

???: Adds a slow to Flying Dagger and Fan of Knives;

Safestep: Receives less dmg for 2 seconds after Shadowstep or Darkstep;

Teleport Master: Increases Shadowstep/Darkstep's range by X%;

Revitalize: Spend your combo points to regen X health in 5 seconds. Each combo pt increases the amount of health you regen;

Adrenaline Rush: Activate to increase your energy regen during X seconds.

PS: If she feels very op, we can also tune her passive and make it with 5 points. Then "Q" could generate 2 points, while "W" and "E" generate only 1.

Gameplay

Having in mind that she's a rogue, there's no way I could leave a stealth mechanic out of her kit. Nevertheless, this is not another hero with full time stealth like Nova or Zera. In this kit, her stealth involves getting close to the right enemies or escaping a tough situation. With her flying dagger you can reveal enemies that are out of your vision, making it possible for you to shadowstep to them if they're on the other side of a wall or in a bush, for instance. You can also use this skill to interrupt your enemies when they're channeling an objective.

PS: You can Shadowstep/Darkstep to your allies, enemies, minions, mercs, totems etc. You can't use the ability on structures.
PS2: Valeera uses Energy as her resource. Energy regens for X amount each second.
PS3: The secondary abilities don't share cooldown with the primary ones. Valeera can use her secondaries anytime she unlocks her passive/combat trait.

This way, for instance, you can gather 1 point on minions, shadowstep to the enemy hero for another one, use backstab for the third, activate your passive, and use kidney shot. OR you can gather one point, shadowstep to the enemy hero for another one, use backstab for the third, and darkstep back to an ally safely. OR you can gather 3 pts, vanish with darkstep before ganking, shadowstep to the enemy (as it won't break your stealth) and start a new combo. OR, during a teamfight, you can darkstep to the frontline enemy, getting stealthed, and shadowstep to a squishy target, who usually stays in the back. Have in mind that all of these abilities (including the secondary ones) demand energy, so that's what will limit "nonstop combos", as you'll need time to regain the energy spent.
