Shadow of the Uncrowned

Valeera is a stealthed Assassin who specializes in shutting down her opponents.

This rework focuses on fixing her messy talent tree to create more viable options (removing/reworking bad talents) and moving away from single-opener builds.

Combat Trait

1
Vanish
Cooldown: 8 seconds

Vanish from sight, becoming Stealthed, gaining 20% Movement Speed and access to new Abilities. For the first second, Valeera is Unrevealable and can pass through other units. Remaining stationary for at least 1.5 seconds, while Stealthed grants Invisible.

After being Stealthed for 3 seconds, Ambush, Cheap Shot and Garrote have 100% increased range and causes Valeera to teleport to the target when used.

Primary Abilities

Sinister Strike
Energy: 30
Cooldown: 5 seconds


Dash foward, hitting all enemies in a line for 110 damage. If Sinister Stike hits a Hero, Valeera stops dashing immediately and the cooldown is reduced to 1 second.

Awards 1 Combo Point.

Blade Flurry
Energy: 40
Cooldown: 4 seconds


Deal 180 damage in an area around Valeera. Refunds 20 Energy if more than one Hero is hit.

Awards 1 Combo Point per enemy hit.

Eviscerate
Energy: 25
Cooldown: 1 second

Consumes all Combo Points.

Eviscerate an enemy, dealing 100 damage per Combo Point.

Energy: 10

Ambush an enemy dealing 120 damage and reducing their Armor by 15 for 5 seconds.

Awards 1 Combo Point.

Cheap Shot
Energy: 30

Deal 40 damage to an enemy and stun them for 1.25 seconds.

Awards 1 Combo Point.

Garrote
Energy: 30

Deal 20 damage to an enemy and an additional 140 damage over 7 seconds, and Silence them for 2.5 seconds.

Awards 1 Combo Point.

Heroic Abilities

Shadow Dance
Cooldown: 80 seconds
For the next 6 seconds or the next 3 uses of Ambush, Garrote, and Cheap Shot, Valeera is not revealed upon attacking from stealth or taking damage.

Cloak of Shadows
Cooldown: 15 seconds

Valeera is enveloped in a Cloak of Shadows and for 1.5 seconds she becomes immune to damage over time effects, Unstoppable, and gains 75 Spell Armor, reducing Ability damage taken by 75%.

Level 1

Blind
Ambush Blinds enemies for 2 seconds. Cheap Shot and Garrote Blind enemies for 2 seconds once their disabling effect ends.
Crippling Poison
Activate to make Valeera's next damaging Ability and subsequent Abilities within 4 seconds Slow targets by 20% for 4 seconds.
Wound Poison
Activate to make Valeera's next damaging Ability and subsequent Abilities within 4 seconds reduce enemy healing received by 50% for 4 seconds.

Level 4

Relentless Strikes
Reduce the Energy cost of Sinister Strike by 15.
Initiative
Teleporting with Ambush, Cheap Shot, and Garrote reduces the target's damage dealt by 60% for 1.5 seconds.
Subtlety
Increase the movement speed bonus of Vanish to 30%. Teleporting with Ambush, Cheap Shot, or Garrote refunds 30 Energy.

Level 7

Mutilate
Sinister Strike now hits with both blades, dealing 125% additional damage, but its range is reduced by 1.
Fatal Finesse
Blade Flurry strikes a second time 1.5 seconds later for 60% damage. Cancelled by using Vanish.
Sharpened Blades
Blade Flurry deals bonus damage to enemies equal to 5% of their maximum Health and refreshes the duration of any damage over time effects against them.
Slice and Dice
Eviscerating an enemy with 3 Combo Points grants 150% Attack Speed. Lasts 3 seconds or 3 Basic Attacks.
Passive: Basic Attacks restore 2 Energy.

Level 10

Shadow Dance
Cooldown: 80 seconds
For the next 3 seconds or the next 3 uses of Ambush, Garrote, and Cheap Shot, Valeera is not revealed upon attacking from stealth or taking damage.
Cloak of Shadows
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Valeera is enveloped in a Cloak of Shadows and for 1.5 seconds she becomes immune to damage over time effects, Unstoppable, and gains 75 Spell Armor, reducing Ability damage taken by 75%.

Level 13

Numbing Toxin
Enemies hit by Blade Flurry deal 40% reduced damage for 4 seconds.
Run Through
Sinister Strike no longer stops Valeera upon hitting a Hero, and instead pushes the Hero to the end of its path.
Death From Above
Increase the teleport range of Ambush, Cheap Shot, and Garrote by an additional 25%.
Thistle Tea
Cooldown: 45 seconds
Activate to instantly restore 100 Energy.

Level 16

Seal Fate
Sinister Strike deals 50% additional damage and generates an extra Combo Point when used against Silenced, Rooted, or Stunned enemy heroes.
Shadow Strike
Teleporting with Ambush, Cheap Shot, and Garrote deals damage equal to 15% of the target's current health.
Vendetta
Using Ambush, Cheap Shot, or Garrote marks the target with Vendetta, increasing your damage against them by 10% and revealing them to you. Only one Vendetta can be active at a time, and Vendetta is removed upon the target's death or using Ambush, Cheap Shot, or Garrote on another target.
Kidney Shot
Eviscerating an enemy with 3 Combo Points Stuns them for 0.5 seconds.

Level 20

Final Nocturne
Increase the maximum number of casts of Ambush, Cheap Shot, and Garrote during Shadow Dance to 5.
Enveloping Shadows
Cloak of Shadows while stealthed also grants Unrevealable. Whenever Valeera uses Vanish, she also gains Cloak of Shadows.
Cold Blood
Cooldown: 45 seconds
Activate to cause the next Eviscerate to deal an additional 100% damage over 4 seconds.
Nightslayer
Reudce the cooldown of Vanish by 3 seconds.
