Welcome! to the wonderful universe that is Velen! My name is Yigma and its a pleasure to have you reading up on my hero concept for a character in Heroes of the Storm. I diligently have searched far & wide to provide you with quality material. Lore:
Velen has been the leader of the draenei people since their flight from Argus 25,000 years before the first orcish invasion of Azeroth. As his title entails, he has been awarded a gift of prophecy, and aided by the Light has guided the people as they fled from, and later fought against, the Burning Legion who had ensnared their eredar brethren. Through the years, he has lost a countless number of brethren on the battlefield. Stricken with a deep sense of guilt, he attempted to resurrect his fallen allies
with an ancient draeneic spell. Unfortunately, the spell is proven too hard for him to control and it becomes unstable, creating a portal. It begins by absorbing the mana inside Velen causing him to pass out & finally pulls him through the portal. He awakens to a wide array of strange characters surrounding him.


Abilities:
Categorized within the support role, Velen's abilities are mostly centered around aiding and healing his allies. However, his abilities always have the potential to send out a high amount of damage with a little customization in the talent section. At the beginning of a match, he starts with three basic primary abilities that are meant to not only prevent damage but also provide some valuable info. As the match moves forward & you eventually reach level 10, two optional heroic abilities are unlocked. Although, the majority of his abilities can rival and even outperform other support heroes, you need to keep an eye on managing his mana adequately.



Mana: 60

Cooldown: 10 seconds


Smite an enemy with pure light dealing 149.6 (+4% per level) damage. Affected target is Blinded for 2 seconds, causing their Basic Attacks to miss and deal no damage.

"Years of studying the Light has given Velen the ability to materialize the sins of his enemies and rip them out of their chests. Velen truly believes its his duty that he must fulfill on behalf of a disciple of the Light."




Mana: 85

Cooldown: 8 seconds


Mark an ally that lasts for 20 seconds, healing them for 100.08 (+4% per level) Health next time they take damage from enemy heroes.

"Bestowed with the gift of the Vrykuls, Velen places a blessing on his comrades protecting them from any potential danger that may befall them. He does this as penance for being unable to aid allies in the past."




Mana: 100

Charge Cooldown: 15 seconds


Activate to reveal an area for 10 seconds. Enemies in the area are revealed for 4 seconds.
Stores up to 3 charges.

"Velen enters a trance, enabling the visions of the gods to flow through his body, revealing possible harm. To this day its still unknown as to why he was given the opportunity to use the powerful eyes of the gods."



Heroic Abilities
Available at level 10, Velen gains the choice to choose two powerful heroic abilities to help the flow of a battle. Both of these heroic abilities, cater to a specific need which will be left to the player to decide. Also remember to pay close attention to the general cooldowns of these abilities, they are kinda lengthy so they must be used at the most beneficial time. Hopefully, if done properly, these can change the tides of a fight in your favor and your team can walk out victorious. If you feel comfortable with these heroic abilities and your team needs it, these abilities can be upgraded, as soon you reach level 20. Finally, try synchronizing, your heroic abilities to counter other enemy heroic abilities to get the most out of it.



Mana: 85

Cooldown: 100 seconds


Send out a beam of light that bounces 4 times to nearby allies within 8 range establishing a link, dividing all damage received between all affected targets for 10 seconds.

"Embracing the ancient dreanic powers of the Light, Velen bounds and seals the fate of deemed individuals. Hoping that no internal suffering to the soul through painful burden should be dealt with alone in this life."



Mana: 65

Cooldown: 80 seconds


Decrease the healing a target receives by 15% while increasing all of your healing by 15% for 8 seconds.

"Velen goes through the pain staking demise of sacrificing a fellow mortal in order to go into the forbidden trance.
In this temporary trance of pure divinity, it is said that Velen can communicate with the old gods."




Game-play:
Anyone that plays Velen needs to be vigilant of remaining mana and manage it properly in a teamfight. Because he has no escaping assets of any kind, he is typically placed in the safety of the back-line throwing out powerful spells. Although, he doesn't have much survivability, his abilities are instant so he can freely move around unhindered and quickly mount up to aid teammates around the map. Its important to keep in mind, that our fellow draenei friend is meant to prevent incoming damage instead of rectifying its results. The difficulty in mastering this powerful support is with knowing what enemy damaging spells to reduce or prevent to help your team the most.

You doing realy nice work with the overlay. How did you make this? via special editors(which one?) or did you hack the game? Kappa

To the abilitys: his E and Cosmic Balance are too weak and boring spells. Better to put this in talents and actives. Also the stats of Mark of Hope are very very weak. 100 target health for 85 mana and 8 seconds? And only, when this one is damaged. This must be improved.

you did a really nice job with this concept!
i dont see you made a trait yet, and i think that his healing capabilities are really low, so eather increase his W healing (maby it will be a hot in addition to its fanction) or make a trait that help him heal his team and becoming a real support.
i think E last for too long as it have 3 charges and it will just kill stealth hearoes, but thats just balancing...
also i think the heroics should have more impact as they have a long cd, or reduce the cd.

really hope you will add some talents, i can see manny interesting ideal with his W, like debuff all nearby enemies when its activate or buff the target.
