Xul, the real D2 Necromancer

Necromancer of Rathma

The real D2 necromancer. In this hero concept, the currently in game Xul would be replaced by a D3 necromancer with the same abilities, and players with original HOTS Xul unlocked could either switch to the D3 necro or stay on this one.

This necromancer is meant to do a couple of things well: fight minions and attack single targets.

Combat Trait

1
Raise Skeleton
Each time anything dies near the necromancer, gain a raise skeleton charge. Up to 4 skeletons can be summoned, up to 6 charges stored. The necromancer can summon skeletons at 0 charge, but it costs a lot more mana.

Primary Abilities

1
Spite Curse
Whenever the target takes damage from attacks or spells, take an additional flat amount of damage. This has a maximum of 5 times a second.
2
Bone Spirit
Create a slow moving object that tracks the target and attempts to reach it within a limited time. Deals high damage to the main target, deals lower damage to enemies it passes through.

(The mechanics are similar to pyroblast, although it it doesn't hit within a time limit, it disappears.)
3
Clay Golem
Summon a clay golem. Clay golem attacks slow enemies, when attacked, the clay golem slows the attacker.

Heroic Abilities

1
Revive
Summons a powerful undead creature for a short time. 2 charges. The revives look like, and have stats that resemble, the last 2 heros the necromancer was involved in killing. If no such heroes exist, they look like generic zombies and have regular stats.

"Stats the resemble' means that, for example, raynor revives would be ranged, have strong attacks, and less hit points, while arthas revives would have high hit points, lower damage, armor, and be melee. The stats would be adjusted so that revives based on all heroes would be about as powerful as each other (the differences would come from interactions, not from stat differences), so an abathur reive would still be roughly as powerful as a D.Va revive, for example.
2
Decrepify
All damage done to the target is increased by 50%, and the enemy is slowed 50%.

Talents

Level 1

Skeletal Command: Commands summons to attack a target.
Dark Connection: Cursed enemies are visible ven if stealthed or in a bush.

Clay Golem: Clay golem also slows attack speed.
Blood golem: Replace the clay golem with a blood golem. Lifesteal, lifesteal for necromancer, damage taken heals necromancer.
Iron Golem: Replace the clay golem with an iron golem. Reflects damage, Necromancer gains physical armor while it is active, high physical armor
