Defender of Draenor

Yrel was a young Dranei before she was captured by the Iron Horde. After defeating her captor and assisting the heroes of Azeroth in their escape of Tanaan Jungle, she trained under the prophet Velen as a paladin, gaining great skill and eventually succeeding him as Exarch of the Dranei. As she once stood as one of the final defenders of her world against the Burning Legion, she now stands to protect the Nexus from all who would threaten it.

Combat Trait

Consecration
Yrel may activate her trait to concecrate the ground beneath her feet, which creates an area of holy fire that damages enemies within for a small amount over time. While standing in her Consecration, Yrel gains 10 armor, her abilities deal 10% more damage, and she gains other benefits from talents. Lasts for 15 seconds, 20 second cooldown.

Primary Abilities

Avenger's Shield
Yrel tosses her shield toward the target enemy, dealing a medium amount of damage and interrupting spellcasting, then bouncing to a nearby enemy. Hits 3 enemies total.

Shield of the Righteous
Yrel charges her shield with Light and bashes with it for her next attack, dealing 50% more damage with it. For 3 seconds afterward, Yrel gains 10 armor. 3 charges, 12 second cooldown.

Light of the Protector
Yrel calls upon the Light to heal her wounds, restoring 50% of her missing health. 10 second cooldown.

Heroic Abilities

Light of the Naaru
Yrel channels the Light into a powerful strike, dealing heavy damage to an enemy hero. The power of the strike causes 3 holy spheres to fly out of the enemy. Yrel and her allies can walk over the spheres to absorb them, gaining 30 armor and 30% increased movement speed for 6 seconds after doing so. Spheres disappear after 10 seconds, or after an enemy stands on them for 3 seconds. 100 second cooldown.

Aegis of Light
Yrel calls upon the light to protect her allies from harm, forming a large cone of light behind her for 6 seconds. While standing within the cone, allied heroes gain 50 armor. The cone can be targeted on an ally or the ground, and will move with Yrel while angling toward what it was targeted on. 120 second cooldown.

Level 1

1. First Avenger - Q - Avenger's Shield deals 50% increased damage to its primary target
2. Gathering Light - E - Quest: Collecting a regen globe increases the healing of your next Light of the Protector by 10% Reward: Collect 30 globes to cause Light of the Protector to additionally heal by 10% of your maximum health.
3. Holy Shield - Passive - When you cast Avenger's Shield, gain a stack of Block, increasing your armor by 50 for the next enemy basic attack only.

Level 4

1. Consecrated Hammer - Trait - You gain the benefits of standing within your Consecration at all times

2. Hallowed Ground - Trait - Increases the damage of your Consecration by 100%, and standing in your Consecration increases your attack damage by 10%

3. Holy Site - Trait - When cast while standing within your Consecration, your Light of the Protector heals 20% more, and your Shield of the Righteous grants 10 more armor.

Level 7

1. Bounding Light - Q - Quest: Hit 25 heroes with Avenger's Shield Reward: Avanger's Shield now hits an additional 2 targets
2. Righteous Persistance - W - The armor bonus from Shield of the Righteous lasts an additional 1 second.
3. Holy Shock - E - When you heal with Light of the Protector, you deal damage to nearby enemies equal to 30% of the amount healed.
4. Retribution Aura - Passive - When an enemy attacks an allied hero near you, they are dealt 10% of the damage dealt back to them. This effect does not benefit you.

Level 13

1. Hand of the Protector - E - Light of the Protector can now be cast on any allied hero. When used on allies, it heals for 20% less.
2. Divine Steed - 1 - Yrel can activate her mount instantly and in combat, and will not be dismounted by combat for 1.5 seconds. 30 second cooldown
3. Righteous Protector - W - Using Shield of the Righteous lowers the cooldown on your Light of the Protector by 2 seconds.\
4. You no longer gain armor from your Consecration, but instead gain 10% increased current and maximum health while standing in it. The bonus health is lost once you step outside it, but this effect cannot kill you.

Level 16

1. Last Defender - Passive - Gain 5 armor per enemy hero close to you.
2. Communal Consecration - Trait - Allies are healed for the same amount enemies are damaged by Consecration.
3. Saruan's Resolve - Q - When Avenger's Shield returns to you, you gain a shield equal to 10% of the damage it dealt.
4. Seraphim - 2 - Activate to consume 2 charges of your Shield of the Righteous to gain 20% increased damage and 10% increased health for 7 seconds.

Level 20

1. The Light Abandons None - R1 - Light of the Naaru creates 5 orbs, and enemies can no longer destroy them.
2. Righteous Fury - R2 - Allies standing in the cone of light also deal 40% increased damage.
3. Guardian of Ancient Exarchs - Activate to summon a holy guardian to protect you for 7 seconds, granting you 50 armor for the duration. If you would die under this effect, the guardian instead sacrifices itself immediately to cast Light of the Protector on you. 120 second cooldown.
4. Lay on Hands - Call on the light to heal you or an ally for 70% of your maximum health. 200 second cooldown.
