Zakam gains various bonuses throughout the game depending on which quests he completes. And Zakam only grants 35% of a real Hero's experience upon dying.

Quests:

Regeneration: Gather 10 Health Globes.
Reward: Redcues your Death Timer by 50% .

Assasination: Use any damaging Basic Ability 20 times against enemy Heroes.
Reward: Increases your damage with damaging Basic Abilities by 15%.

Speedy: Use atleast a 100 Basic Attacks against enemy Heroes during the game.
Reward: Gain 15% additional attack speed.

Evolution Complete: Complete all the quests.
Reward: Gain 5% of total damage, Reduce all Crowd Control effects on you by 10% and increases your health regeneration by 2% of maximum health every 3 second while out of combat.

Instantly burrow becoming invisible, immune to damage and crowd control and removing all negative effects on you and tunneling under neat the ground for 1.5 seconds towards the destination.

Upon dying Zakam morphs into a cocoon for 2 seconds with 671 health.
Once hatched Zakam is reborn to fight again.

Burrow into the ground and becoming invisible, while burrowed you cannot take any kind of action apart from Unborrow.

Zakam always runs at 10% increased speed compared to other Heroes.

Active Ability

Cooldown: 30 seconds


Increased movement speed by an additional 15% for 3 seconds.

Quest:

Quest: Parasite: Use Leeching Bite 5 times on enemy Heroes when you are at or below 50% health.
Reward: Damage done to enemies that are hit by Leeching Bite will afflict them with a damage over time that deals 50% of of the damage dealt every second for 3 seconds, each tick will heal you for 140% of damage dealt.

Quest: Fang Stab: Use Fangs 10 times on enemy Heroes when they are at or below 35% health.
Reward: Fangs will deal an additional 50% damage to enemies who are at or below 35% health.

Quest: Agility: Use Pounce 5 times on enemy Heroes who are moving.
Reward: Increases the range of Pounce by 2.5 and reduces the cooldown by 1 seconds.

Quest: Zerg Poison: Deal a total of 2000 hero damage.
Reward: All damage you deal will give an enemy 40% of the damage done as damage over time for 3 seconds.

Quest: Lightning Fast: Walk atleast for 1000 steps.
Reward: Reduces the cooldown of Zergling Rush by 15 seconds and makes you unstoppable for 2 seconds upon activation.

Quest: DNA Transfusion: Kill 15 minions.
Reward: Killing enemy Minions or Mercenaries will restore 3% health and 4% mana.

Ability:
Triple Bash: Deal damage to an enemy equal to 3 auto attacks with an additional 20% more damage.

Passive:
Desperation: Increases your attack speed by 20% for 4 seconds while you are at or below 35% health. Cannot occur more than once every 10 seconds.

Ability:
Screech: Screech loudly to reduce the attack speed of nearby enemy Heroes by 10% and reducing their Basic Attack damage by 10%. Lasts 3 seconds.

Passive:
Twinling:You gain a second Zergling that always walks by your side, you control both at the same time as if it were one Hero.
Increases your health by 10%, mana by 7% and damage by 10%.

level 16

Bloody Bite (Q): Reduce the cooldown by 1 second and mana cost by 30%.

Shredding (W): Fangs will deal an additional 10% damage of the targets maximum health.

Jump and wreck (E): After pouncing at a targeted enemy Hero you instantly cast a free untalented Leeching Bite.

level 20

Cocoon Adaption (R1): When you are cocooned the cocoon will gain 60% Armour or Spell Armour for 2 seconds depending on the first damage it takes.


Safety Grounds (R2): Burrow will allow you to see stealthed enemy Heroes. In addition you gain 15% more vision while burrowed.

Passive:
The Swarm: Killing enemy Minions or Mercenaries will summon a weaker Zergling that attacks nearby enemies (prioritizing enemy Heroes) for 4 seconds. Cannot occur more than once every 6 seconds.
