Hero Description :
A former member of the Shambali, Zenyatta disagreed with the group's approach. He believed that the way to repair the problems between humans and omnics was not through dogmatic teaching but through interpersonal connection and engagement. Ultimately, Zenyatta followed his own path. He chose to leave the monastery and wander the world, helping those he meets to overcome their personal struggles and find inner peace.
Hero Concept :
Zenyatta is a ranged Support Hero who can call upon orbs to heal his teammates over time and debuff his ennemies. Zenyatta behaves as a mixed support, and can bring his fair share of damage in teamfights with his Basic Attacks and his first ability,
Orbs of Destruction. Zenyatta has no primary resource, and so his abilities can be used without restraint.
Harmony Orb offers good sustain to his laning partners (it cannot be used on Zenyatta however), but cannot really help against heavy burst damage.
Discord Orb is a helpful tool, as it increases the damage taken by any enemy Hero affected by it, which makes the target that much easy to take down. Zenyatta's self-sustain in lane is assured by his combat trait,
Mind over Matter : half his total health is a fast-regenerating shield.
Zenyatta's first ultimate ability,
Transcendence, can almost nullify combo plays that would otherwise be sure to wipe out the team, thanks to its incredible team healing. Zenyatta stays immobile during this ultimate however, and can be caught in a bad situation after it's finished. Zenyatta's second ultimate ability,
Orbercharge, behaves more like a normal ability, with its short cooldown and not-too-spectacular effects, which increases Zenyatta's general effectiveness in supporting and damage.
