I feel Stitches requires a slow prior to tenderiser, perhaps something with vile gas have a slowing effect or perhaps heroes being slowed on a successful hook as currently (at low levels), it is a simple hook and the enemy hero can walk away.
A lot of positioning and coordination is required otherwise.
I'm not suggesting a massive slow, but something as for the average player, setting up a decent hook such as from a cliff or pulling a enemy hero out of a team fight is difficult to pull off - not impossible - its just a tough road block to deal with for the average player.
Your team needs to provide the follow up for a successful hook. After level 10 you can even hook + gorge the enemy and carry him away. But if you want to kill him, you probably need help from some friends.
To have hook be a displacement and a movement reduction ability would be to powerful.

I agree, his slow talent is at the correct level right now. My problem with stitches is that he is listed as a "warrior," but he feels (to me) the most squishy in his class.
