As the title says, The Communist Power Rangers are opening a new Heroes of the Storm division with open recruitment before tryouts (I'll put info on CPR at the bottom for those interested). Interested players are required to fill out an application, we did our best to keep it short, but it covers all of the information we need to know (that we would otherwise have to talk about in an awkward interview). The application is found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/14XhVFq0DNuh8KhX-DDuPqQ1AA7OEWE0CsldLZPLyaOU/viewform?usp=send_form
Questions, comments, and/or concerns can be emailed here: [email protected] (If you're interested in manager/coach positions also email us there) BELOW IS MORE INFORMATION ON OUR PROCESS! This is how it works after that:
We'll review the application
If you meet with our baseline (what we would want the absolute worst of our team to be) brodavid will add you on battle.net, and congratulate you on meeting the baseline.
Depending where we're at with applications you may be subject to waiting, but you'll be seeded based on your role and where you were above the baseline.
Based on the seeding we'll create a projected starting line-up that will start try-outs.
Try-outs go like this:
With the projected starting line up, we'll cycle other players in and out to test different line ups, most likely across a couple days.
Try-outs will take place in our teamspeak, in a password protected room, with a bot to record the comms.
We'll then review replays and decide which of the line-ups performed the best in our opinion.
We may offer substitute positions, or create a second roster depending on the amount of applicants and quality of players.
After a roster is formed:
A schedule will be made, similar to the try-out schedule, that will include at least 4 days of practice, and Sundays for tournaments (ESL mainly).
The team will practice for at least on full week without tournament play, before entering their first tournament. This is to get the team more adjusted with each other and set comfort picks.
The team will practice using team league, and scheduled scrims through forums.
The team will work under the General Manager's supervision unless a dedicated manager is also found (certain extra responsibilities may fall on team captain if GM is unavailable, will be discussed).
WHO ARE THE COMMUNIST POWER RANGERS?
The Communist Power Rangers is a club from the San Diego area of Southern California. Founded as a League of Legends team that would go on to disband, the name was kept for Brodavid's own personal endeavors. Moving forward as and E-sports club featuring Smash players, a Street Fighter player, and Hearthstone player, CPR shifted to a Gaming club with the addition of a traditional TCG player. With each division performing at the top of our local Temecula Valley, and also featuring high placements ranging from San Diego to Los Angeles, CPR has started to look at expansions to fully online team based games.
