Way of Illusion. Way of Illusion gives more damage in every possible case. Once completed your basic attack is increased by 40. At level 20 that is 243 instead of 203 which is 20% increase.
In other words you get the damage bonus from Way of the Blade on every attack, not just critical strikes. And considering now you have higher base attack you also do more damage on critical strikes. Not to mention, that the synergy with all other talents Samuro gets later is based of his basic attack, so Way of Illusion gets even more damage than Way of the Blade as the game progresses. Way of the Blade is the lazy man's Way of Illusion. I am not saying that Way of the Blade is useless. In fact your build is the only case where it is the better option, since you go for AOE damage and the splitpush/specialist Samuro build. It is just that you are misjudging the other talent.
Phantom Pain and Harsh Winds.
Those 2 talents you rate as bad as well. And in your build they are not very viable. 1 is actually on level 7 and can't be taken together with Burning Blade. However Phantom Pain and Harsh Winds are the burst damage option, that rounds up the Way of Illusion build. I understand you are not playing assassin Samuro, but specialist Samuro. However this is the meta build at the moment, so I feel you are misjudging the talents once again.
Anyways as I said good start of the guide. I would love to see how you improve it in the future.
Would it be possible for you to make a guide on Samuro as well? I'd love to see the Way of Illusion build that you're talking about in more depth.
