Laning Phase Top
Hunter Gatherer is your bread and butter. It allows rexxar to get the sustain he needs for when he accidentally receives poke. Since you should play rexxar as if he's kaelthas/zagara you shouldn't take any crazy damage which should allow you to stay away from your sippycup for a long time with this talent.
Use misha Fixate to clear the wave, starting of with the mage minion to get the globe as soon as possible, then send misha out to harass the enemy with her charge, and let her fall back once she falls below half health, then heal her up, until she is ready to go back in and just keep doing that.
At lvl 4, you pick up easy prey. Since you generally dont need misha to get more sustain ( I mean, if the enemy focusses misha they're idiots anyways) you just want to get more clear speed for lanes, and you want to start doing camps with it. From here on, you want to start looking at the lane pressures all over the map to see if you can try to sneak in a boss. For example, on cursed hollow, you can generally take a boss immediatly after you get the first curse, as rotations will happen and the enemy wont immediatly suspect u to take the boss before other mercs. However, you will need some lane pressure for this so that the enemy can't rotate with more than 1 to even try to check u out.
At lvl 7, Aspect of the beast is a big preference of mine over the waveclear from the hawk, as stuns on the backline with misha are just so valuable (1.25 second AoE stuns are bs overpowered). The thing is, misha already has enough waveclear with the lvl 4 talent, so you just want the stronger teamfight from here on out. Practice landing ur stuns and you'll become a rexxar god. It's probably the biggest reason to pick rexxar as misha is a stun bot.
Transitioning to lvl 10+ Top
Misha is your powerhouse, so you want to take the misha auto-increase 90% of the time, unless they have blinds or auto-attack slows, then you might want to take the boars, or if they have a nova/zeratul, then you definetly want to take the boars, as it reveals them if they were in the arc.
Try to pop your ult as late as possible, so you dont waste any second with misha walking to her target. Try to keep misha fixated on the squisiest dmg dealer possible, and kite her back whenever she gets focussed with her trait. Then let her charge back in once she loses focus to get the most value out of your burning rage on her, which you pick on lvl 13. It just makes her so much more scary.
On lvl 16, primal intimidation is a huge talent, as it has twice the power of a normal imposing presence, as there are 2 targets instead of 1 it applies to. Take Feign death tho whenever they dont have much auto-attack dmg and burst dmg you can block yourself from. At lvl 20, Frenzy of Kalimdor is huge as it allows you to stick to targets easier (well, misha mainly) and you to do more unmitigated dmg.
How to misha? Top
Try to toggle your trait whenever misha takes focus, calling her back, then when she loses it, toggle it back, then fixate her on the area you want her to return. Always send her into the backline if possible.
Her charge ability should be used to cover retreats, to interrupt ults or to group stun and as much on CD as possible, in that order. Take your time lining it up, as its not the easiest skillshot (since it doesnt center off of you), and you can use it even if she is out of her leash range, while retreating, or when you are calling her back with your misha follow.
Spam your E on CD if possible. Save your Q for chases or killsecuring. Don't flat out spam it, since it will make you drain your mana too fast. This kind of playstyle is also the reason we aren't speccing into this skill.
Max the distance between Misha and you. The leash range is almost a full screen wide, so you can definetly put her in the backline of the enemy while you focus their frontline to pressure them out.
Rexxar and Misha's role in the teamfight is mainly to peel and chase, not to deal the main dmg or soak the most dmg (tho this automatically happens due to misha's pressure and the two bodies)
