I think you might need to relook at Possession, as it has now become much more viable as a talent. Having just watched my friend play a Quick Match using Possession, I can say that it works really, really well. He would push back back minion waves by converting them all and sending them back against the team. They started out behind 3 levels, and ended up winning in the end. The more I've played The Butcher, the more I've come to feel that Flail Axe is the better choice at Level 4 than either Envenom or Cheap Shot. That extra bit of range (and the slow it grants) always seems to come in handy for me, and I always seem to regret not having it when I have Envenom instead. But I'll admit up front that I'm not that great a player, so it might work better for people that are actually decent at this game.

Unrelenting Assault isn't really a good choice because you have to kill the minions with Hamstring to get the benefit, which means you're constantly spending mana to try and kill them with that ability, leaving you OOM when you really need it.

The AA build is basically the one I came up with myself through playing, after I got the Butcher. He really does start to get stupid once you get Blood Frenzy, chopping up other assassins or supports with ease.
