You should check out my Abathur - Push build. I get what you are trying to do. But after a few experimentations, I got very good results over all with the build I came up with. My main issue with the long-range talent is that I often use symbiote on locust to push hard a lane (comboed with Locust Brood and nest). Just luck really, I know. But it was such an unexpected kill because I did not have the vision of the area. I really sent it blindly. If I could turn on the fog of war in the replay, it would show better what happened. I had a doubt he was there but not 100% sure. I sent it to "scout" the camp.
