Genaral Information Top

Advantage

Light of Elune [Q]

It is one of the highest Instant Single Target Healing Ability in game. (And it does has the highest HPS in game so far).

Sentinel [W]

It makes you be able to reveal any part of the map you like to at almost anytime, no one can hide from you, at least this ability is going to significantly reduce the chance you and/or your teammates getting ganked.

Lunar Flare [E]

A short delayed Stun is extremely powerful when connect with a instant displacement ability or stun, like connect with Stitches' Hook, Uther's E, Diablo's QE Combo or Kerrigan's WE combo, once you land your E on the target, it's basically guaranteed dead.

Also at level 20, if you choose Level 16 Talent 'Shooting Star' with [Rewind], [E]-[W]-Rewind-[E]-[W] with a few Auto Attacks, you alone can deal over 3k damage within 3s, that's most Assassins' total health, damage can even be higher if you took pure DPS build.

Hunter's Mark [D]

It makes your team being able to always have huge burst damage on target at the start of almost every fight.

Starfall [R]

It makes a large area with slow effect on it, which makes any enemy entered this area will be hit by you and your teammates' skillshots easier since they're moving slower than normal.

And at the same time, it does decent amount of damage over time, no one would want to stand in it for long.

Shadowstalk [R]

It gives you everybody's (includes Stealth Heroes') location on map, it's like reveal whole map cheating, no one can hide from you.

Other Advantages

Even with pure support build, Tyrande still has the highest damage output among other supports (maybe the same as Tassadar).

Tyrande has many utility abilities you could pick up if your team needs it, like [Protective Shield], [Healing Ward], [Calldown MULE], [Shrink Ray] and [Storm Shield].

Weakness

Light of Elune [Q]

If you are encountering with sustain fights, without Level 1 Talent 'Celestial Attunement' support, lacking of mana can be a issue. But choose this talent will make you team has less burst potential since your [D] now has 20s CD.

Sentinel [W]

It has 18s CD, so once you used this ability, the next 18s (a bit lower than 18s if take Battle Momentum) you and/or teammates could be in the danger of getting ganked. So this ability requires extremely good map awareness in order to use it effectively. But unfortunately map awareness is something you only get good at after completing a huge amount of matches, therefore Tyrande is not a new-player-friendly hero.

Lunar Flare [E]

Itself is a Skillshot, needs a lot of practice to land it on target alone. If you are using it to connect with others, you will need to be very conscious at your teammates' move, like placing it right after Stitches hooked, Diablo charged, Uther stunned, Kerrigan jumped. If you are not paying attention, you won't be able to this. SO again this makes Tyrande even more unfriendly to new player especially when new player doesn't even know what every other hero's ability are.

Hunter's Mark [D]

It has a quite short cast range, so in order to land it on a wanted target, you might have to get yourself in danger.

Other Weaknesses

Tyrande cannot heal a team alone, because Tyrande's overall healing isn't very high, and Tyrande has no AoE Healing Abilities without [Talent Abilities].

Tyrande has very low health, can be burst dawn easily by enemy if not pay attention.

Tyrande lacks of escape ability, the only escape ability Tyrande has is on T5 Level 13, competing with 'Overflowing Light' and 'Shrink Ray'.

Hard to play, not just when you are new, Tyrande is hard to play, even when you are Rank 1 a while, this hero is still hard, you need to monitor way to much things at once, like use [Q] on who at when, which part of the map should I reveal with [W] at when, oh wait did I just forgot connect my [E] with Stitches/Diablo, oh finally I done everything right, but wait a second, how did I just get killed by Zeratul/Illidan, oh right I'm Squishy, need to spend more time to worry at myself too.
