So, is there "maybe" a plan for HotFire to give away keys when Hot becomes closed beta? (I'm asking you mowen :P)

Thought I'd ask here, if the answer is yes. Then everyone will be happy to hear it! If no... I just ruined everyones dream here. D:

I have no idea. :P It depends on if we can get keys or not! We've of course love to give out keys but we're not sure at this time what Blizzard's plans for Beta keys will be.

I think it might not even be possible with the way Blizzard does beta opt-ins, since you don't actually get a key, your account just makes the game available if you get in. Not positive though.

Blizzard hasn't said how they are handling beta yet.

If we get beta keys, you can be sure we will be giving them away :)

Yeah, I'm still hoping for an alpha invite :/ This is why I don't play the lottery (well, that and I can math).

Guess I'll just have to wait until I can get my handouts here, haha.

I think 3rd round of invites went out recently so more and more are getting in!

I call the lottery "Voluntary Tax". If you feel like you didn't pay enough this year, buy a lottery ticket.

Still not in but I have faith in my dear .fire buddies to hook me up eventually. ;)

I've always called it tax on people who can't do math, lol. Even met a guy who bought, like, fifty tickets and was surprised/pissed that he didn't win anything. We need an :eyeroll: smiley, haha.

Let Blizzard know you're a fansite and keep getting traffic, they'll give you keys.

That's exactly how it works, if you're big enough. Otherwise I don't think they really care.
