The reason behind choosing this build besides the talents is stated in the title. No risk usually means you get value from these talent picks. Like they say though, high risk can yield high reward. This is true in regards to Alarak's play-style.

For our first tier 1 talent we have Sustaining Power. This talent is viable if there are no medics on your team, or if you see that the enemy team have multiple AA (auto-attack) heroes like
Our second talent at lv.4 is Show of Force. If the enemy composition doesn't look great for stacking e.i. no
,
,
, or
and on top of that they have a
and
consider taking this talent. You're almost guaranteed to get value from this if you can land all your basic abilities within 2 seconds.
Third talent for lv. 7 is Hindered Motion. The extra silence that comes from
seems like a better choice right? Of course, but if you are starting out with Alarak and you have a hard time landing
, hindered motion will help your odds of landing those shots. This guide is all about getting that guaranteed dps (damage-per-second).
Here is the ultimate talent for our lv. 10, Deadly Charge. Again, why? The
got a buff in the last patch making Alarak unstoppable, plus it does extra damage. That should be the go to talent for lv. 10. Right? Wrong. I'm assuming you don't know when to pop this ultimate at the right time. I have times when I pop this ult(ultimate) and the enemy team dodges or they don't attack me while I'm unstoppable. "...but it can save you in certain situations against
and his
. Not to mention
and her
. Also,
and
. Okay, okay, those are very valid points, but remember you need to know how to time
. I'm just saying with
if your positioning is right and your team is there you are guaranteed dps. Positioning - meaning you don't get hit while you are channeling because that will interrupt your ult and you have to start all over to try and dive. A team being present will help you not die as soon as you dive in.
At lv. 13 it's Blade of the Highlord. Even for a advanced Alarak player like myself, I find some enemy comps too difficult for
or
to be useful. I either die too much for
or my allies don't die enough for
. In this case, I'm stuck with useless talents that don't add damage to Alarak at all.
at least guarantees a slight bump in dps. It's five auto-attacks to get the full 35%, but even with one swipe at lv.13 you should be adding 20 extra to
, 10 to
, and 6 to
. My math might be a bit off, but I believe it's close enough to those numbers.
We are almost finished with this guide. Maybe grab a drink with some chips. Our lv.16 talent is Mocking Strikes. I love this talent. It's my go to talent, if I'm not greedy. This works well combined with the previous talents you picked if you were following along to this guide, or if you didn't miss-click your talents.
and
will allow you to speed up the time you can use your abilities again. The best part is Alarak isn't mana intensive, but Mocking Strikes will change that. The good news is, if you landed all your combos the enemy team will be dead. Suggest to your team to take
to help aid this talent. There are more heroes, but the ones listed have a constant or big ult that helps Alarak reduce his cool down. Some of the heroes mentioned will need to choose abilities or ults that will assist Alarak in reducing his cool downs for abilities.
Finally, our lv.20 is Last Laugh. The other ults for lv. 20 either increase your damage or lowers your damage. This one preserves your damage. If you find yourself between a rock and a hard place this talent will rescue you. Be mindful, if your positioning was really bad it won't always be the case. There are games I saved the match because I was the last one alive from a brutal team fight. Now, I don't know how many of you Alarak players know this or bothered to read the talent, but if you hit heroes with 3 of your abilities within 4 seconds (not including any ults) you won't lose your health. Don't pick this ult if there's a
or
. They'll chase you down and they'll have the last laugh. Watch out for minions as well. If they do have those characters go with
.
I hope you enjoyed my personal take on the Alarak No-Risk guide. You may have noticed in other guides seeing the same information. It's true I can't take all the credit for this guide. Biggest influence on my Alarak play is RyomaGG. There are other good Alarak guides on heroesfire as well. This guide overall is going to be long because I wanted to cover every talent.
