This is my favorite build at the moment. I like being able to slow for long periods of time as well as lower damage for long periods of time. It also allows you to have defense matrix up for most of the CD of boosters, which is nice. It's pretty weak before 10 and I wouldn't suggest fully committing to anything over zealous. Instead just try to gather self destruct and use it when you can. Post 10 this build starts to pick up. You don't have to worry as much about losing your mech since big shot will do good ranged damage and refresh the cooldown rather quickly. At 13 this part can be situational, but I think you'd probably see more benefit from Ablative Armor than the Expensive Plating if there are a lot of players on the other team that will not being doing more than % of your max HP all the time. And/Or there is a GM on the other team that has taken cursed bullet.
After 16 you can start to be really reckless. You have a gap close, and you should be playing aggro self destructing then just regaining. You almost want to just feed the mech so you can gain more charge of self destruct to use against their team.
At 20 you'll most likely win the game just because the Pew Pew Pew is so damn good. It does an absurd amount of damage for being a 3 second cooldown, and the funniest part is that it starts as soon as you shoot, not after the last 3 shots fire. So you can almost spam it. You'll never have mech problems at this point as long as you can at least hit 1 person.
This is the build I see a lot of people talking about on Reddit. It allows you to gather a decent amount of charge for your mech without having to die too often. It also makes it so you hit like a truck when you're in Pilot mode. Personally I think this is a little too risky since D.VA is SO squishy, but I can see the potential, especially when people try to nuke you when you hit self destruct and they see the opportunity to kill you. Then obviously the CD reduction coupled with the 20 talent to make the mech fall on a target location is pretty amazing. I can see the potential in this build, and it's definitely worth putting up there as a staple standard go to if you want to go with what is regarded as the norm. The cons to this build is that there is no mobility in Pilot mode, and if there are no takedowns, you could be looking at being without a mech for a long time.
No real idea if this one works or not, but I thought it could be cool to potentially try to work around establishing your self destruct charge using defense matrix.
