The whole principal of this build is to utilize cloak, do quick open burst damage, and then GTFO.

Mistakes/Weaknesses - how to correct Top

The common mistake I see new Nova players making is trying to lane minions. This results in being attacked from another cloak or ambushed. Nova does not have enough health or escape to survive early opening attacks. Nova should focus damage on heroes and not be auto attacking minions. Read the Strategy - damage chapter on how to help your team and do damage.

If facing another cloak character it is important to keep track on the map where they are. If they are in your lane or you are unsure where they are you must wait for them to show themselves first. If you don't they will target you. If you are unsure you should only reveal cloak to open damage and disappear into cloak or a bush, do not stay out of cloak. Try and be proactive taking their cloak out when you see them on the mini map, travel to their location and take them off guard.

Strategy - damage Top

The ideal lane partner is a melee warrior who has a slow or stun. If a fight is in the middle lane Nova should stick around to help, but if enemy is pushed against turrets then mount up and get to another teammate needing assistance. Same thing goes if pushed against your tower with no threat of it being taken, melee warrior can hold. By being mobile across the map Nova will benefit to entering battles against characters with half health or less. With talents 1: Ambush Snipe and 3: One in the chamber opening cloak damage should be enough to take them down to low health or get the takedown.

Your heroic should be triple tap as at lvl 20 you get fast reload which is absolutely broken. Use triple tap from range on below half health targets for an infinite heroic. This has quite a large range and you can easily get a double kill in a team fight by targeting support or assassin characters around half health.

Strategy - escape Top

Before level 10 you will have to rely on your decoy to escape opponents. Smart ones will not lose sight of you so it is best to do in a bush to disguise your decoy. I would be careful with opening with decoy as it is your only escape move besides cloak which requires 3 seconds.

After level 10 invest your talents into your decoy, by getting two decoys you will be able to escape many fights to get back into cloak to reopen damage. A good strategy with your decoy is to alternate opening with your decoy and closing with it. Your opponent will get to know your moves mid game and if your always popping your decoy first, they will hold back until you appear and not waste their stuns on the decoy. Also dropping a decoy while in a bush is best as it can disorient them even further.

Having decoy damage also makes it harder for opponents to figure out and once you get two they can help take down camps and targets.
