Tyrael is currently one of the best warriors in the game. Thanks to the Rework he received he managed to place himself in an excellent place with a large percentage of victories. He has been seen in a lot of games at a competitive level and the ability to play both offensively and defensively makes it very adaptable in different compositions. And more attractive to different types of players. He is extremely good in aggressive compositions. Accompanied by heroes with dive such as
Genji or
Malthael are able to obliterate a mage or support in seconds.
Ultraviolet - Aggressive Build Top

At level 1
Justice for All is the best option for an aggressive playstyle since it will allow you not only to increase your
Righteousness to double, but also that which your allies obtain around you. In compositions with a lot of immersion capacity (Dive), it becomes a powerful threat.
|
|
|
Thanks to this talent it will be very difficult to flee from
Tyrael not only do you increase the slow effect by 10%, but for each hit you do, it will increase the duration of the slow by one second, when you are behind a mage or an assassin and plus the movement speed
Smite give you. You will be bucking his back for a big amount of time.
|
|
|
This talent greatly enhances your ability to hunt and harass the enemy. If your team has another Warrior and your job is to keep distracted or eliminate an assassin or support, this talent provides you with the movement and attack speed that you need to do so.
|
|
|
In case of having a composition with the possibility of launching towards the enemy team's back line, ignoring the front line, it is possible to go for
Reciprocate since it will allow you to do a little more damage in area by you and your allies .
|
|
|
In this build we will take
Judgment in order to have the possibility of throwing ourselves to protect an ally or to dive together with one of our assassins to erase the hypercarry (high constant damage) or the support of the enemy team. The damage of your heroic ability plus
El'druin's Might and
Smite is really threatening to mages and supports. If we add to this the damage of a hero such as
Greymane,
Genji or
Illidan for example, we would be talking about almost certain kill.
|
|
|
I think that at level 13 this is by far the most viable option and my favorite. The possibility of plays that you open with being able to block an entry or exit of a fight is just invaluable. In the vast majority of occasions it will be practically impossible to escape from
Tyrael. This selection of talents is especially good on maps with many corridors and closed fighting zones. Such as
Cursed Hollow or
Infernal Shrines.
|
|
|
In this build
El'druin's Might becomes the most important ability within your skillset, which is why this talent is a key piece to maximize your amount of damage and harassment. Reduce the cooldown of your
El'druin's Might by each hit you give to the enemy. Allowing you to continue blocking the escape zones or continue separating the opposing team thanks to
Holy Ground.
|
|
|
Despite being a popular option and giving you a bit more extra damage in the area around
Tyrael and
El'druin's Might, I feel that compared to the benefit of
Horadric Reforging it is left behind. However, it is worth mentioning that this talent has the highest percentage of victories.
|
|
|
In my opinion this is the best option. Reduces by more than half the sentence Cooldown time and also greatly increases the range. This allows you to be much more aggressive in the fights and not worry about saving
Judgment to have it in the next fight.

Protective Light - Main Tank Top
|

If in the offensive build we take the talent that gives us shield, in a main warrior build with this talent is a Must. The improvement of the shield is simply too good to be ignored.
|
|
|
Wrongly I have seen the selection by
Salvation for the possibility of curing
Tyrael when the shield disappears, it is worth mentioning that this does not apply if the shield is not destroyed by the enemy, in addition to increasing only 25% the shield provided by
Righteousness to tyrael and not the allies. Do not take this talent
|
|
|
As the main warrior, you will want to try to keep as much life time as possible in order to create a stable front line, this talent will help you to resist a little more the physical damage of the enemies.
|
|
|
If your job as a warrior is to stop or control the enemies so they do not escape from your assassins, you can also take
Bound by Law. It will allow your allies to place their skills more easily and will give them the option of having a better positioning.
|
|
|
This talent is the most recommended because it will help you maintain your mobility in the team fights, as well as provide you with a better possibility of initiation to you and your allies.
|
|
|
In this case
Reciprocate is used to protect your teammates from possible threats. The amount of the shield we generate is already good thanks to
Bound by Law and if we add a little damage the enemy will think twice before engaging in a fight.
|
|
|
One of the best skills in the game capable of denying all the damage and Croud Control received in an area around you for 3 seconds. Against teams with a large amount of area damage or a strong burst damage. You can leave them without control mechanisms or cooldowns.
|
|
|

The possibility of reducing the cooldown of
El'druin's Might is simply invaluable, increases your mobility, thanks to
Holy Ground increases the chances of isolating enemies and protecting allies during a fight. Simply the best option at this level.
|
|
|
Increase the invulnerability of your team 1 second is just amazing, in addition
Holy Arena increases the damage done by your allies by 25%. With the importance that every team fights gains after level 20, not taking this talent could be a big mistake.

Always remember that
Tyrael is an initiator and an aggressive warrior, the most recommended option is to go with compositions with great Dive to get the best of him. Remember that it is a hero very dependent on the mana and that is easily overcome by most of the "Solo Laners".
The main mean of harassment of
Tyrael is
El'druin's Might, which will allow us to keep a zone safe, and add mental pressure to the enemy since they know that at any moment we can transport ourselves there, forcing them to reconsider their positioning. It is recommended to try to throw
El'druin's Might Behind our opponent in order to body block his escape.
Righteousness will help us protect our team in the fights and we must use it when we are surrounded by as many possible allies, especially heroes of melee damage, since they will be the ones who will be able to take advantage of this shield.
When we die,
Archangel's Wrath will allow us to move and after a few seconds to explode and do some area damage. We must try to place this explosion on as many enemies as possible, or on enemies that have the lowest life. Try not to follow high mobility heroes since they could escape from you easily.
Smite is a skill of both damage and utility, thanks to the movement speed it gives to us and our allies, it becomes extremely difficult for our enemies to escape in the event of a pursuit.
Judgment is our aggressive heroic ability. We usually take this option when we want to go through the hunt of an annoying assassin or support. It is better combined with heroes with great dive capacity.
Sanctification is our defensive heroic ability. Despite being a large area of effect, it takes a little time to learn how to use it correctly. It has a short cast time but as it is not instantaneous it can be interrupted. It is perfect to deny a large amount of burst damage or control, such as
Horrify of
Gul'dan,
Apocalypse of
Diablo or the
Sulfuras Smash of
Ragnaros to mention a few examples.
Combos & Execution
When entering a team fight we must open with
El'druin's Might, after teleporting to his position, we can use
Smite to apply some more damage, and if the enemy chooses to engage rather than back, we use
Righteousness to protect us and our allies.
Tyrael is excellent for ambushes, especially after level 10 and get
Judgment. Combined with
El'druin's Might and
Smite the damage that
Tyrael can do to supports and mages is quite considerable.
Once taken the talent of
Holy Ground,
Tyrael becomes extremely deadly. Throw it behind your enemies to avoid their escape, and in corridors to close the way. It is also extremely useful when stealing mercenaries and bosses, because if it is placed correctly
Holy Ground blocks the entire capture area and the opposing team can only see how you are stealing their camps.
Synergies Top
Aggressive Tans with Croud Control
Tyrael combines very well with heroes who have a lot of Croud Control, because your
Smite allows them to get faster to the enemy in addition to being able to protect them in fights thanks to your
Righteousness.
The amount of damage that
Tyrael can absorb with
Sanctification plus the
Bunker Drop of
Blaze is simply immense. You can use
Sanctification also to prevent the
Mosh Pit of
E.T.C. from being interrupted.
Speaking of
Judgment, combined with
Sonya,
Muradin or
Arthas can chase whoever they want from the enemy team and destroy it in seconds.
Melee Assassins
Tyrael is extremely good with heroes with great Dive possibility. Throwing yourself with
Greymane or
The Butcher with your
Judgment into a support or mage is almost an instakill. Also thanks to your
Righteousness you can deny a lot of damage.
Sanctification also allows heroes like
Malthael to live longer by being able to use their
Soul Rip and regenerate life. And
Genji allows you to use your
Dragonblade without interruptions. It basically works similar to the
Divine Shield of
Uther.

Disadvantages Top
Tyrael as any warrior has problems with heroes like
Malthael and
Tychus. He also has the problem that on the line he would lose against most of the traditional "Solo-Laners" like
Leoric,
Blaze,
Sonya so he needs to be accompanied by another hero.
Tyrael depends a lot on his mana to make plays, you should make sure you have enough mana before a team fight.
Like
Tassadar and
Zarya, by your shields,
Varian becomes a very powerful enemy, because his
Shattering Throw talent can destroy your shields as if they were paper.
