I enjoy the play style. I have a few things that I feel could be tweeked, like the turrets life span trait, but i understand why you choose the other one, more scap / unlimited mana.
I've played a few games now with this build and play style, but i'm trying to figure out the best set up for the booth. Should you place the turrets a bit apart, like on the sides of the minion waves in length, or right next to each other, because I've seen Gaz's put them right next to each other and have gotten wrecked.
All in all though, i do enjoy the booth play style rather than using him to smack around the enemies, got a few compliments too during game, because Gaz is not an easy person to play in my opinion lol. Always something to be done and somewhere to be.
Gazlowe is definitely nod easy to play or understand, especially for your team mates. If you are in-lane, you want turrets so they are apart but protect each other. Use explodium in front of them to kill minons or stun any hero who wants to take down your booth. Then back all that up by lazor if need be. Now with turrets range Gaz is getting deadly. Check out the new c9 video ^_^
Hey man! Have you checked out the Gaz "Buff" yet? I have been messing with a Hybrid Booth-Lazor build that changes the level 4 and level 16 talents, but keeps pretty much the same gameplay. Would love to know your opinion on it! Also learning how to scrap before you mount is now a MUST.
I'll have to try the new lazor talents to see how it goes. Yeah I'm hoping they'll switch the mount scrap thing soon. When I use my lazor it's usually once I have my booth zoned out and I want to poke from a safe distance. I'm always considering tho if I want to spend that mana, cause a turret will give me mana back but the lazor wont. It's usually just what I need to pick off a fleeing near dead hero or to poke from afar. Thanks I'll check it out!
This is a great guide. I fell in love with Gaz the first day of Heros and it was hard at first. But with practice Gaz is a true one man wrecking crew! lol
Glad you liked it! I hope to do a similar write up of Lunara soon, assuming they don't change her too much. I really think Gazlowe is a king of teamwork. He lives and dies based on cooperation. But his synergies make him so dangerous in the right scenarios.
First of all, sorry for my awful english, I'm practicing.
Second, I definitively love this guide!! Match perfectly with my game style (and also I was looking for a specialist pg to start to learn!)
Thanks! (I've create this account only to add a comment!)
So glad you like the guide. I'm adding too it any time I get new tips so check back! I'm glad you made an account. Heroesfire.com is a great site and community. Make sure to check out groups as well!
This guide has ALOT of personality (I was reading it in Gazlowe's voice). Good advice to boot! Solid tips and videos provided.
After trying the build, I found that it was a lot of fun and even great for competitive play. Great job on making this guide. I've got to learn a something or two from ya :)
Awesome that you liked the guide! Gazlowe is one of those characters that really makes the game fun if you learn your chops! With a little luck we'll start seeing him more, ESPECIALLY as the Korean meta of warriors comes our way!
That means a lot to me :0) I'll keep adding and tweaking it as I have time. I'm looking forward to building in-depth map strategies, as well as more recordings if I can commandeer my friends gaming rig!
Love the guide! Not only in depth, but has everything a Gazlowe player needs to perfect one's "Carnival". Gaz is going to be my go to specialist (as hard as I have tried I cannot fully embrace Sgt Hammer). Thanks!
Really, laning is easy with most melee characters, you act like protection for your guys and they protect your recycling duties. The most important thing is not necessarily who to lane with but to not lane outnumbered. Gazlowe's strengths are multiplied with team help. He is an absolute BEAST on two lane maps simply because it forces you with other team members.
I prefer laning with characters like Diablo who needs that extra protection early game and can just toss poor unsuspecting carnival attendees straight into the booth. Diablo is super tanky (and an underdog as well right now...) IF you can get his HP soul stone talents working for him.
Stitches and Arthas are also fun to work with. Stitches becomes even more of an assassin, and you both have wave clear together. Arthas's slow and tankiness makes him unstoppable in balanced matchups.
Zeratul can really find some low hanging fruit and have protection, especially early game.
What's hard is laning outnumbered. Especially if your soloque and the enemy team is deathballing on voicechat. Gazlowe has stupid momentum so be where the momentum is. The opposite is true though, if your team isn't together or the enemy team is super together, Gazlowe on the run looks like a horrible waste of a hero slot.
So, I have been using your guide and it has been great! I'd say its on the same level as my Murky and Abathur builds and I have just been the center of attention as my attraction has been quite popular. Although with that said, from your experience as a Gazlowe player what would be a good hero to pair up with Gazlowe as I have a few friends that are looking into Hero league.
I also created an account just to comment on this. :)r
I really enjoy pairing up with Arthas, Zeratul, Diablo, Leoric Sonya, and The Butcher for all the gank possibilities. In the more competitive fights like in hero league you'll never want to fight alone when the enemy team has a poke comp. Ball up and take down walls. Deathball rotate forts if you have to, but don't fight alone or you'll be on the run/dead/out of your booth. :0)
Congrats! Great Guide, I'm trying it right now and really getting the hang of it. In your opinion, what are the best heroes to lane with Gaz?. I wanna bring a friend to the Carnival.
This is exactly the build I've been playing around with.
Infinite mana and I just kite people all day with engine gunk turrets.
People so often make the mistake of running through them without realizing just how much damage they can do.

Very good build.
