Hi, my name is Sugimori! I have a Youtube channel, and a Twitch channel where I play some video games like Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft, and Overwatch mostly. I am and always have been an analytical gamer trying to discover the best builds, and hate playing the meta. In my opinion, if the enemy knows what I will build due to what the meta dictates then the enemy will have the advantage. Off stream I like to play games like Dota 2 as well, so I have no shortage of MOBA experience and many times inspiration comes from Dota as well. More guide stuff to come in the future.

The Build Top

This build is for the reworked Malfurion (January 9th), and it focuses on the healing aspect, and not so much dealing damage. We are picking talents that optimize healing through Regrowth.

Level 1

Shan'do's Clarity is the best option here because it makes Innervate more frequent. With this build you should be casting Regrowth and Innervate as often as you possibly can, and this talent synchronizes with that goal.

Level 4

This talent tier is pretty bad all around for the healing build, but Deep Roots is the best talent for level 4, and helps you support in a different way-- rooting and providing zoning against the other team.

Level 7

This talent tier is a bit of a close one. If your enemies have a lot of disables, you may want to pick Nature's Cure, but by default I would pick Wild Growth as it extends the duration of Regrowth for every hero you hit with Moonfire. I feel that Wild Growth synchronizes well with everything that you are trying to do already; keeping Regrowth status on as many allies as possible, and trying to grant those same allies with bonus heals from hitting enemies with Moonfire.

Level 10

It's a healing build, use Tranquility.

Level 13

Revitalize is the talent you want/desperately need at level 13. You finally made it! You will hopefully never be mana starved again after this. Just make sure you keep spamming Innervate. Other than granting extra mana, using Innervate will now basically take off 2.5 seconds from all of your cooldowns, which is nice I suppose.

Level 16

This talent tier is the tricky one at first glance. They all appear to buff healing, but one of these must be better than the others, or any choice wouldn't matter. At level 16, Regrowth heals 750 health over 20 seconds. This means that per second, Regrowth heals 37.5 HP. Also at this level, Moonfire heals all allies for 262 health per enemy that you hit with Moonfire.
  • Ysera's Gift gives you 60% more healing over time as long as you are healthy over 75% HP (which you should be or you are likely about to die). This means that Regrowth will now heal 1200 HP over 20 seconds for 60 HP per second, for a grand total of 450 HP.
  • Nature's Balance increases Regrowth's duration by 5 seconds which means Regrowth will now heal for 937.5 HP over 25 seconds. for a grand total of 187.5. The only other thing it does is increase Moonfire's area, which isn't at all necessary for this build.
  • Moonlit Harmony is a bit harder to quantify as it isn't a straightforward healing increase from Regrowth. Rather the heal that all allies affected by Regrowth receive when you hit enemies with Moonfire is boosted by 15%. This 15% boost is equal to an increase of 39.3 HP to each hero that has Regrowth per enemy hit with a Moonfire. If, by some miracle, you hit all 5 enemies with a Moonfire in some sort of planet-aligning lottery-winning stroke of fate, each hero will receive a bonus of 196.5 HP.
Phew, all of the math is now complete, and the clear winner is Ysera's Gift! It more than doubles the heals of every other talent in this tier, and theres not really a clear reason why you would pick any other talent.

Level 20

Lifebloom is great. You auto heal 10% of an ally's missing HP, which means when your friend needs health the most and doesn't have time to wait for Regrowth to regenerate them, they get a sizable increase in their current health pool.

Final comments:
Prioritize in this order: Innervate > Regrowth (on as many allies as possible) > Moonfire and you will be on the road to MVP!

Other Options Top

Level 1

Nature's Swiftness Could be a decent option to stay safer from gap closing heroes at the cost of you and your team having less mana (read as: less heals and less damage, for more movement speed).

Level 7

As stated in the build above, Nature's Cure may be the talent that your team drastically needs. Before you pick a talent at this level, check the enemy and see if they have a team filled to the brim with stuns, roots, and slows.

Level 20

Serenity might be nice, and flows with the mantra of keeping Regrowth on everyone, but it is kind of lackluster as far as talents. Lifebloom is just naturally better in most situations.
