Who is Malfurion? Top
Malfurion is a World of Warcraft character in HoTS. In WoW, Malfurion is the greatest druid on Azeroth, and is a student of the demi-god Cenarius. Communing with nature and Cenarius through the Emerald Dream, Malfurion protects the wild from demonic influences.
In HoTS, Malfurion is a ranged support. Your Q is a heal, called Regrowth. You can target it on yourself or other allies. Your W is a small AoE damage ability, called Moonfire. Your E is a larger AoE ability called Vengeful Roots. This ability roots enemies inside it. This ability is hard to use however, because it has a long delay before the roots extended all the way. Your passive is a small mana heal, called Innervate.

How do you Play Malfurion Correctly? Top
Malfurion is not an easy character to play, even though it might seem so at first. There are many things you have to remember.
1. Always heal people who are low.
It doesn't matter where you are, always heal. In late game, don't be afraid to heal people even if they aren't that low. Just make sure you are doing your job. It also helps to heal people before they take massive damage, so they may not die.
2. Always use your passive on people.
If you see someone who is low on mana, just aim on them and press D. It is not a very large mana heal, but it can save someone the time of having to run to the healing fountain.
3. Always be with your team.
Never abandon your team. They need your heals especially at team fights. Most times, if you are not with your team, at a team fight, your team will die. This is how crucial you are.
4. Watch the minimap.
How do you know when to move with your team? Well, you should always be watching the minimap and being aware of objectives. If , for example, you are on Cursed Hollow, you always go to the tribute no matter what.
Besides those few rules to follow, use your Vengeful Roots to clear minion waves. Moonfire people to poke them. Remember that Moonfire has a long range, so you can interrupt enemy heroes try to turn in an objective or what not.
Early Game Top
In early game, you also have some things to remember. When laning, you should try to go with squishy characters like Valla, Jaina, Sylvanas, Zeratul, or Nazeebo. You can also lane with other important characters like Zagara, SGT Hammer, Gazlowe, etc. Try not to lane with other supports or tanks. Try to stay back in lane and at early-game objectives.
Mid Game Top
Remember what I said about staying back in early-game? Well that changes completely when you hit Level 10. If you take Tranquility, you need to be in the middle of everything. You are basically invincible while using this, plus your allies will love you. If you pop your R in a team-fight, always be close to everyone who is low.
He are some things to remember when using your R.
You can use basic abilities while using your R. If needed, you can heal people while using your R if you feel like they are going to die.
Use your R in a team fight or with at least 3 other allies. In a team fight, this ability could save your whole teams lives, or it could save a few valuable members of your team if, for example, you are running from a dangerous Zeratul.
Late Game Top
In late-game, Storm Shield is a very important talent, and here's some advice on how to use it.
Storm Shield does not go in a large area, so how do you hit everyone on your team with it? (What else has a small area?)
You guessed it.
Use it while using your R. When you use your R, your allies will want to get near you. Then you can Storm Shield when necessary and usually everyone will be shielded.
Also note that Tenacious Roots makes your root much more effective. Always use this in team fights.
