In a bit of disagreement with your Immolation description.
Immolation out-dpses Marked for Death in single-target and AoE if you check the numbers (Till level 22). The only thing is you have to be in a sustained fight to out-dps Marked for Death with Immolation, so you're partially correct - if you jump in and slap somebody one time Marked for Death will do more damage.
Another thing is Seasoned Marksman helps Marked for Death scale sooner than 22 to catch up to Immolation, but I typically go Shadow Shield (except on Garden of Terror usually).
I never take Second Sweep when I play Illidan (Blood for Blood for the survivability and 1v1 potential typically, sometimes Stoneskin for Novas), but yes it does clip Immolation, so if you do take Second Sweep I would agree with you.
Good observations though, I like that you're mixing up talents with Illidan. Playstyle is also an important factor, not just numbers - always fun to see Illidans who are brave enough to experiment with what feels right to them.

I'm looking forward to trying out your build tonight.
