I played this build for a bit and then compared it to the one used in pro level games and if you learn the other build it its soooo much better than this one. No offence but this sucks.
Actually in this patch Follow through is the number 1 pick for zeratul in this build. After any ability the extra 40% dmg is a guaranted kill. Dont forget Zeratul is assasin. With this build you have at least 6 buffed attacks(with Wormhole and Double bombs) with 40% and if you play rewind that makes 12. Is insane amount of damage. At that time the extra heal wont help you, only in the early levels. In late game you need to chop fast that Kael or Jaina.
Any way that's the most popular build for Zeratul but mostly for the follow through choice, not First aid.
Great guide, and great lore - thats what makes this game so awesome. How funny is it that Kerrigan 'read this guide' THEN invites Z over...! I especially appreciate keeping the other talents listed with the ideal talents, as some of my first questions are "Why not 'this' or 'that'"? and I don't have to scroll to find them.
I've been doing some math about the lvl 4 talent, Focused Attack (+75% damage on next attack, i think your guide says 50%) versus Gathering power (5%-15% ability power) and i've come to really surprising results.
Focused Attack will always give you more burst than Gathering Power, even at 15% extra AP, a combo with GP will do about 97% the damage FA would do, that assuming you already have the double bombs, and happen to land both.
Even if you use rewind and happen to hit all 4 bombs, GP will deal only 104% damage when compared to the FA build, that's about 100 more damage, so I think it should be considered a high risk low reward talent, actually.
What it DOES give however is higher AOE damage, but you can have that by taking Sustained Anomaly, which is in the same tier. I didn't take into account the cooldown on Focused Attack either, which is actually quite high and can be wasted while pushing.
The rotation I used to calculate this used every ability once(W twice after lvl 16), and one auto attack (I know it's not realistic but other autoattacks don't get modified by either GP or AT so...).
The important stuff is in blue at the right, it's the damage you get from Gathering Power compared to the Focused Attack combo (0,94 = 94% damage). I calculated it with 5% AP, 9% AP, 15% AP and rewind+15%AP.
Sorry for my bad english, and thank you for your time ;).
I sucked at Zeratul before i read this guide. Now, i'm almost lvl 15 Zeratul (highest char i got) and my winrate is at a solid 60%.
Imo this is the best build for Zeratul. I also see a lot of melee build Zeratuls and i've never lost to one of them in all my games, cuz this build is way superior.
I am having trouble using Wormhole more effectively then Assassins Blade. I suppose you need to blink into engage? Then blow up and zap out? I just don't find myself doing that. I either blink to chase or blink to escape. Either method doesn't really need wormhole.
***. Blade however always gives me value, as I at least get 2-3 attacks off.

Good job, GFRay =D

Can you explain how to better utilize wormhole?
