Threat | Hero | Notes | |
---|---|---|---|
1 |
Murky | Murky is not viewed as a serious pick during competitive tournaments. But if he is picked during Quick Matches or Ranked be careful trading with him since he can continue to come back and fight you in lane. |
Threat | Hero | Notes | |
---|---|---|---|
2 |
Abathur | Abathur himself poses no threat towards Uther, but if left untouched can turn the tide of the game with his high ability to push lanes unnoticed. | |
2 |
Chen | Chen is a powerful laner to deal with so try to hold your Hammer of Justice for when he attempts to drink. | |
2 |
Diablo | Diablo has 2 basic abilities that can stun or interrupt you from reaching a good position to Divine Storm. Poses no high threat in-terms of damage. | |
2 |
Gazlowe | Gazlowe is not much of a threat since a lot of his stuns are easily avoided. Best thing to do is always stay mobile when facing a Gazlowe and avoid trading with him in lane when he is backed by his Turrets. | |
2 |
Li Li | Li Li poses no high threat towards Uther. You are a HIGH threat against her. Remember to hold a stun Divine Storm or Hammer of Justice to interrupt her Jugs of 1,000 Cups. | |
2 |
Muradin | Muradin is not a threat towards Uther, he does no massive damage that forces your heals. Always watch Muradins target because he can keep a ally stun locked. If Haymaker was picked as his ultimate ability remember he can knock you far away. | |
2 |
Raynor | Raynor does not provide a huge threat. But do not get near him; as he can dish out a lot of damage against you or an ally unless you have Divine Storm. Your heals should be efficient enough to make his impact minimal. |
Upon dying, become an Invulnerable spirit for up to 10 seconds only able to cast Flash of Light. NOTE: Level 1 only lasts 3.5 seconds. |
Heal an ally for 175 (+40 per level) Health. |
Heal all allies in a line for 100 (+20 per level) Health, dealing 65 (+15 per level) damage to enemies. |
Deal 40 (+8 per level) damage and stuns the target for 1 second. |
Make an allied Hero Invulnerable and increase their Movement Speed by 20% for 3 seconds. |
Deal 100 (+25 per level) damage and stun nearby enemies for 1.50 seconds. |
Conjurer's PursuitThis is the primary choice for the talent tree. Uther suffers from higher cool downs and also high mana costs from Holy Light. Picking up Conjurer's Pursuit will help slow down how fast you will go OOM. |
ReachReach allows you to cast Holy Light and Flash of Light at a longer range. The talent will let you or allies position a bit more aggressively while still being able to cast or receive a large heal. I do not believe this is the optimal choice for the talent tree but if this is your choice remember the range of your spells to position accordingly. |
Fist of JusticeThis is a 3rd option for Uther it will help you apply Hammer of Justice a lot sooner. If this is your choice I highly suggest picking Burden of Guilt at level 7. |
BlockBlock is a really good talent if you are opting to go for the 2nd build Light's Bulwark this allows you to block 2 auto attacks which increases your defensive capability. |
Boundless ConvictionThis talent choice will help you cast your Holy Radiance at longer ranges and hit more allies and enemies to provide maximum efficiency with heals and damage. |
Hammer of the LightbringerHammer of the Lightbringer is not the best choice on this talent tree because of Conjurer's Pursuit as the 1st choice for level 1. |
Amplified HealingI recommend this talent choice if your team does not have a warrior or front line and/or your team has multiple supports to make this as efficient as possible. Try to stand closer to the front line with this talent choice. But remember to use your Holy Light smartly on yourself or allies because of its heavy cool down which allows it to be punished. |
Holy FireHoly Fire is similar to Burning Rage except a lot sooner in the talent choices that are given but sadly this talent choice is given at a really important tree for Uther and due to the varies other options in his level 7 tree Holy Fire is not worth the pick at all. |
ClairvoyanceAny ability that provides a vision is never bad. If you are considering this talent as a potential choice I suggest picking during Blackheart's Bay Cursed Hollow Sky Temple because of the Boss camp (Giant Golem). Also using this during a team fight can provide good positioning for your team knowing where all enemies are even ones that are stealthed. |
CleanseCleanse is the primary option for this talent tree it is pretty great if used in the correct time. I highly recommend this choice if the enemy has multiple sources of CC for example Kerrigan Diablo Muradin E.T.C.. Remember with this talent choice timing is everything so make sure you use them at the correct moments to provide a high amount of value. |
Divine StormDivine Storm is an amazing ultimate ability, probably one of the best in the entire game. It allows for many different play styles:You can play very aggressive with the build Light's Bulwark and run in to hit multiple enemies (be sure to let your teammates know your intentions before doing so). If you have chosen to go for the Light's Protection I recommend saving this spell for when multiple enemies attempt to kill one of your carries. If a single enemy that is a high threat such as Kerrigan Thrall Illidan charge for your back line combo stun him or her with Hammer of Justice to give your ally some time to notice the enemy, after the stun duration has ended make sure to use Divine Storm to finish off the enemy. |
Divine ShieldIf you are going to be going this talent choice I recommend picking it when using the build Light's Protection as it is more of a support choice. I recommend going this talent if the enemies have been kiting you heavily and you cannot make it to the back line what so ever. Try to read your enemies to get the maximum potential on Divine Shield and prevent your allies from perishing. |
Blessed ChampionWhenever you cast a Holy Light your next auto will deal 30% of its heal to all allies near you. This talent will help you heal allies near if, try to pick this talent if there are a lot of melee heroes on your team via. Thrall Kerrigan Chen Illidan and other front liners. Combine this with Benediction at level 16 and allow 30% + another 30% heal. |
Holy ShockSadly this is one of the many talent choices Uther has which are too weak in their current talent choices. Holy Shock requires you to cast Holy Light on an enemy to provide 50% of the damage thus putting it on cool-down and not available to be casted on an ally. I would only recommend this talent choice if you are in a team full of supports, other then that I suggest stirring clear of this option. |
Shrink RayI highly suggest that this is the option you lean towards if you are going the build Light's Protection as it allows for good damage mitigation on high priority targets such as Valla Kerrigan Illidan Thrall Tassadar Tychus as it will slow attacks and movement. Keep in mind it is similar to exhaust from League of Legends. |
Gathering RadianceThis talent choice is actually pretty good in-terms of going for damage. I pick this talent when there are multiple supports on a single team such as Rehgar Malfurion Tyrande Tassadar. This can also be a very good option if the enemy does not have more then 2 powerful auto-attackers because the primary choice Imposing Presence will not be effective enough. Even if this talent is meant for damage you are a support first so do not forget to heal allies. |
BenedictionBenediction is a very versatile spell it can be used both offensively and defensively this is the reason I have chosen this as my go to pick on this talent tree.Combo #1: Benediction + Holy Light (2 seconds) + Holy Light use this combo for maximum singe target healing. Combo #2: Benediction + Holy Radiance (2 seconds) + Holy Radiance use this combo for AoE healing and AoE damage. Combo #3: Benediction + Hammer of Justice + Hammer of Justice use this for locking up an enemy for a 2 second stun comb. |
Bulwark of LightIf picking Divine Shield was your choice at level 10, I suggest picking this over Storm Shield. It allows your Divine Shield to last 2 seconds longer for more damage or CC effects the enemies might attempt to apply. Use this ability when the enemies are starting to burst an ally down, this ability can also be used to get out of a team fight pretty effectively with the increase % to movement speed. |
Divine HurricaneThis talent makes Uther's Divine Storm to become increased in range while decreased in cool down. A majority of maps in Heroes of the Storm have multiple small to medium spaces which gives Uther the opportunity to hit the entire team with ease. |
Storm ShieldThis is the fall back choice for Uther at level 20 mainly because he does not have very many options. |
RedemptionRedemption allows for Uther to come back to life after Eternal Devotion at 50% HP. If the enemies were to kill you after resurrecting you go into Eternal Devotion again for another 10 seconds to heal allies. This makes it hard for enemies to want to focus you allowing you to get more heals through. |
Play StyleLight's Protection This build makes Uther becomes more like the role Blizzard made him to be, Support. With this build play between the front line and back line always protecting enemies from reaching your carries to the best of your ability. Look to Hammer of Justice the first approaching enemy so your ally carries can become aware of them hold your Divine Shield until there are multiple enemies about to hurt a single ally. Make sure to keep Cleanse for when an ally starts to get focused by multiple stuns or is being stopped from doing his or her job. Prepare to use Shrink Ray on high priority targets who are also charging into your carries such as Illidan Thrall Valla Tassadar Tychus.Light's Bulwark When using this build you want to play Uther very aggressive always willing to charge into the enemy team not worrying about your life as much while slowing any enemies auto attacks who attempt to hit you by the talent choice Imposing Presence. To make this build as optimal as possible play Uther as you would a bruiser type of hero with being very aggressive, remember you are a support first so always heal your allies. Communicate with your team if you are planning on rushing into the enemies, so they can combo with your Divine Storm. After you die and go into Eternal Devotion you are able cast Flash of Light on allies and with Redemption you will come back to life @ 50% HP and with Amplify Healing you will be able to full heal yourself. |
