For this guide, I'll be going over my "Poison-eebo" build. This build focuses on team fighting by increasing the power of your abilities, especially your passive poison. It relies heavily on your positioning and ability to land game changing
Ravenous Spirits that won't get instantly interrupted.
Best Choice:

|
For the first talent, you'll want to grab
Death Ritual. This talent grants a permanent 4 health and 2 mana increase for every unit that die under the effects of your passive,
Voodoo Ritual. This can stack infinitely and if used properly, can turn Nazeebo into a truck later in the game.
|
Other Option:
|
|
There's a few criteria that if met, might make
Bribe a better pick than
Death Ritual. If you're up against a heavy push team, playing in a map with a lot of mercenary camps where giants could play a big role, and have no one else in your team that can take bribe, you can consider it.

At level 4,
Gathering Power is the best option. This talent grants a permanent 8% increased ability power, and then an additional 2% for every hero you kill. This bonus can stack up to 12% and is lost upon death.

Best Choice:
|
|
At level 7, your poison starts getting stronger when you pick up
Gidbinn. This will empower your abilities, increasing the explotion radius of
Plague of Toads and the duration of all your non-heroic abilities, including your passive poison, by 25%.
|
Best Choice:
|
|
At level 10, take
Ravenous Spirit. This is the bread and butter of this build and where most of your damage will come from. Not only is the base damage of this ability incredibly high, but it's also the best way to apply your poison to multiple enemies in a team fight.
|
Best Choice:
|
|
At level 13, I typically go with
Sprint. I mentioned earlier how Nazeebo's main weakness is his lack of mobility, so why not fix it? When used,
Sprint will give Nazeebo a 75% increased movement speed for 3 seconds, allowing him to escape, chase, or reposition during a fight.

|
At level 16, your poison turns into a deadly one with
Specialized Toxin. This talent increases the damage of your passive poison,
Voodoo Ritual, by 200% agaisnt enemy heroes. You'll see a huge spike in damage this level.
|
Best Choice:
|
|
Finally, at level 20, you'll want to grab
Annihilating Spirit. Don't get me wrong, taking
Bolt of the Storm is tempting, but the power boost that this talent gives your
Ravenous Spirit is absolutely devastating. It'll increase the range of it by 50%, allowing you to cast it from safer places, and it's movement speed by 30%, allowing it to keep up with enemies much more reliably.
|
Other Option:
|
|
If you are extremely comfortable using the default limited range of
Ravenous Spirit and have a team with a lot of CC in order to lock down your enemies so that they can't simply outrun the damage, I say go for it. I would almost never take this in a solo queue game where I won't be getting much peels and I desperately need the extra range for safety.

CC for days |
| Not only does Anub'arak have two CCs that can interrupt your ultimate, they both happen to be ranged. It'll be really hard to get a good ult off when playing against one. Do your best to hide yourself while channeling. |
I can go on forever with a list of heroes that are capable of stopping your ultimate and those that can simply dash out of your
Zombie Wall, but it all boils down to this:
positioning, patience, and awareness.
It's a process of elimination and possibilities that needs to happen in your brain in a matter of seconds. For instance, if you're having a skirmish versus a Tychus and a Tassadar, you need to consider all the possible scenarios. Can Tassadar interrupt you? No, good. Is Tychus's grenade on cooldown? Yes. Is his dash on cooldown? No? Force it with your
Zombie Wall. Okay,
now you're safe to channel your
Ravenous Spirit.
Nazeebo is a great laner thanks to the passive sustain from
Voodoo Ritual. Don't be afraid to harass your enemy with your
Corpse Spiders and auto attacks, but make sure that every minion that dies in your lane is affected by your poison. This will not only keep you healthy, but begin stacking that health and mana that will make you a monster late game thanks to
Death Ritual.
One thing to note about your
Plague of Toads is that it has a shotgun effect built into it. You are able to hit the same enemy with multiple toads, dealing damage with each one. The farther away you are from your enemy, the less likely it is that you'll hit them at all. On the other hand, if you use it from point-blank range, the damage can be devastating. Now, this doesn't mean you should start mindlessly running at players just to land your toads, but it's just something to keep in mind.
The biggest difference between good and excellent Nazeebo players is the use of his
Zombie Wall. This ability has one of the highest learning curves in the game due to it's long delay before they uproot. While most of it will come with practice, here's a few pointers to help you land yours walls:
Try using it as a follow up, rather than the initiation. Wait your opponent to be slowed, stunned, or even imprisoned before trapping them in your wall. This will almost guarantee you land it every time.
You don't always have to use it to trap an enemy directly inside. It can also be used to block off terrain so that the rest of the team can't collapse on your target or so that he can't get to them.
If you ever do screw up your
Zombie Wall. Don't just leave it hanging. Activate the ability again to quickly take it down and save yourself from a world of hate from your teammates.
Positioning and vision are the key elements to successful
Ravenous Spirits in team fights. Thanks to its long range, specially at level 20,
Ravenous Spirit can be casted from within the shadows in most situations. Try positioning yourself behind a wall or inside a brush if you know you're about to fight. This will make it it very difficult for the enemy to interrupt your channel.
Hi everyone, I'm Theselol. I run the YouTube channel GetBonkd and have been playing alpha since the first wave. I make all sorts of content for Heroes of the Storm including guides, spotlights, patch updates, and many more to come.
I've been playing games competitively for a very long time, although never at a professional level. Before I came to heroes I was a diamond league player and a world first raider in WildStar. I managed to reach Rank 1 by only solo and duo queueing and am currently sitting at 4.1k MMR.
