I'm a 2x Rank 1 and Master+ player specializing in high MMR Assassin & "flex" play, and have played HotS since first wave technical alpha testing. I now stream and youtube more casually.
My guides are like notebooks. I update them progressively based on what I learn and theorycraft. As such, this guide is a culmination of my experience, successes, and feedback.

YouTube: OCM Kerrigan has been in a really weird spot for a long time; a hero that could have huge impact on a match, or absolutely none. She saw buffs with the Gul'dan patch that brought her into a Kerrigan-driven meta, an uncontested first pick/ban. Although, the talents that made her "OP" were so obviously broken, I felt as though it'd be better to learn other strengths to the newly buffed Kerrigan, as nerfs were all but literally foretold in the stars.
As anticipated, a couple of weeks later both Sharpened Blades and Psionic Pulse were nerfed, but this build remained untouched in the grand scheme of things. I've included both my own take on Kerrigan, and this aforementioned "nerfed" build in this guide to display both styles of play. I far prefer my own build, but this is of course is how I play Kerrigan, and this guide is just my suggestion.
I believe this is the most effective way to maximize Kerrigan and her remaining buffs. This build makes use of Kerrigans auto attack damage to convert heavy splash, surprising combo damage, critical hits, and consistent shields to make a well rounded melee assassin.
Success with this build will come from understanding limits. Kerrigan is strong, but not a god. Picking and choosing the right engages is the difference between life and death. Master the combo, understand when and how abilities should be used, and know what fights you can pick. This build rewards these things with awesome plays and pretty game changing team fighting when used correctly.
Below is footage from both casual and competitive matches pre and post nerf using this build.
The first thing you'll notice about this build is that the only thing really changed is the talent choices on levels 1 and 4. These were the two talents creating OP issues with the Gul'dan patch, and rightfully so. The damage inflicted by both directly affected the amount of shields Kerrigan would gain, and on top of the HP buff, this made her noticeably too strong.
While this build was nerfed, and i don't necessarily think it's the best way to go, it is still an option. Though, this build relies near solely on landing your combo to not only do the damage, but generate the shields to live, and after the HP re-nerf that can mean death if you don't successfully land the combo.
All things considered, the build still exists and is viable to a point.
