This build is based around your q ability
Ravage. You should be spamming this ability a lot whenever you see a perfect opportunity. The ultimate that you take with this guide is usually
Maelstrom, however
Summon Ultralisk can also be pretty useful. In addition to using your
Ravage make sure you pair it with the kerrigan combo by using your (w) and setting up
Impaling Blades use
Primal Grasp instantly to pull enemies into your stun. You should also know that a default feature of
Ravage is that the cooldown is reset on instant kills (by instant it includes killing an enemy in 2 or less basic attacks after using
Ravage. The instant cool down also applies to minions so say you are on low health just go to a wave of minions and start spamming your
Ravage to heal back up. This way, you can get back in the team fights faster and rarely have to use a healing fountain. If this build is utilized to its full potential with a proper support you can easily take out almost the entire enemy team
Tier 1 Top
Sharpened Blades: even though the damage is increased by 25% it actually does not make that much of a difference at all
Block: not that use full this adds 2 stack of blocks from basic attacks but not abilities. Your trait is already doing this for you on top of it the
Assimilation shields block both basic attacks and ability damage.
Energizing Grasp: not useful at all just refunds your mana depending on how many enemies there are and only up to 60 mana points.
Siphoning Impact: This is the first tier talent to select as it outclasses all other talents. This makes it so using
Ravage now will heal kerrigan for 10.15% of her maximum health. This is like a spamamable
Blood for Blood but .15% better!
Tier 2 Top
Fury of the Storm: Is alright for laning multiple minions and enemies but since kerrigan's attack speed is relatively slow it is not that useful
Psionic Pulse: Makes it so that you deal area damage 18 per second over a course of 5 seconds and the damage increase by 3 per level. It is not a significant increase in damage output and since kerrigan is relatively squishy early game you do not want to be pulling unfavorable enemies towards you.
Envenom: Useful in some scenarios but easily treatable by a healing fountain or a slight heal so it usually ineffective at securing kills.
Clean Kill: This is what your tier 2 talent should be. On instant kills it refunds 100% of the mana used to cast
Ravage and you next ravage will deal an additional 10% damage. This way you can go around spamming it on enemy minions and healing up rather quickly than other heroes. This can also be used continuously to finish off heroes that have really low health after a prolonged team fight.
Tier 3 Top
Assimilation Mastery: I usually pick this talent however this is not the only good choice for the tier 3 talent. This provides you sort of like Reghar's
Feral Heart but your health and mana regeneration is doubled (increased by 100%) when ever you are shielded. I would say go with this talent if you have friendly heroes that are capable of providing you with shields such as tassadar, tyreal or chen. If you are provided shields this effect still activates otherwise you have to make sure to keep your shields by basic attacking enemy minions as they only last 6 seconds.
Battle Momentum: Is an insanely good tier 3 talent to get basic attacks will decrease ability cool down by half a second. Since you are going to basic attacking a lot it is good idea to select this to make sure that both your
Ravage and
Maelstrom are ready when engaging in team fights.
Adaptation: Not worth using at all you should be using
Ravage on enemies. I know sometimes you want a quick escape but you can do that just as easily by using ravage on a enemy minion or wall to retreat quickly
Impaling Swarm: 2 tiny zerglings kind of like zagra spawn but deal out insignificant damage and are highly susceptible to AOE damage.
Tier 4 Top
Either
Maelstrom or
Summon Ultralisk are good choices I usually go with
Maelstrom and activate it when I can pull enemies into a stun with impailing blades after using
Ravage to takes away a significant portion of their health and then just let
Maelstrom finish them off.
Summon Ultralisk is a really good talent too this way you do not have to directly chase them but instead send your ultralisk after enemies. Basic attacks done by the ultralisk also provides you with
Assimilation shields but not as rapidly as
Maelstrom
Tier 5 Top
Queen's Rush: Just another form of sprint specifically designed for kerrigan. Is an active ability but applied passively on hero take downs. It an alright talent however you can cover the same amount of distance using ravage and even more if ravage has increased range.
Double Strike: Just a fancy version of
Follow Through useful in some situations I believe this would work good with
Fury of the Swarm but I have to try it out first. If you want to increase your damage significantly then this talent is the way to go however you will be sacrificing talents that increase your longevity.
The tier 3 talent can either be
Lingering Essence which increase
Assimilation shields gained from lasting 6 seconds to lasting 20 seconds or
Eviscerate which increase the range of ravage by 40%. I prefer
Eviscerate as it allows you to chase down enemies rather quickly and not have to run after then to be within range or ravage an enemy minion that is significantly far away to evade unfavorable situations.
Tier 6 Top
Overdrive: We are trying to conserve mana this increase the mana usage to make our abilities stronger there is not significant increase in damage only a 25% increase and this only lasts for 5 seconds. In all honesty probably the most useless talent in the game.
Aggresive Defence: good if you want to increase your defense. Your inital maximum limit of [assimilation]] is 300 point shields and you gain +100 per each level. The original is enough to last if you are dying often even with the previous talents then this might help.
Blade Torrent: increase radius of impaling blades really useless. You should know how to pull of the kerrigan combo this is good for those only beginning to play kerrigan as a hero.
Blood for Blood: very useful talent depending on who it is used on. I usualy roll with this tier 6 talent because of combined effect of this and
Siphoning Impact. Heal for 10% of your maximum health while using blood for blood on an enemy to heal for 10% of their max health. So to stay alive further in combat use it on heroes with high health pools such as tanks or azmodan.
Tier 7 Top
All of the following are relatively good choices except for
Omegastorm the radius is increased by 25% which is barely anything and increase the amount of assimilation shields gained by 100%. I mean you can get 200% increased shields by combining it with the
Aggressive Defense talent but we want to deal damage rather than tank. We can easily catch up to enemies while using
Maelstrom by using
Bolt of the Storm. Teleporting along with ravage allows us to go in and out of battles rather quick like zeratul.
Nexus Blades increases our basic attack damage by 20% and slows enemies for 1 sec with a hero like kerrigan that is built to chase this will make chasing relatively easier.
Torrasque makes it so that your ultralisk re-spawns after the duration expires this is really good to continually chase enemies or take mercenary camps however when in the re-spawn stage enemies can take out the nest it hatches from and cancel your ultralisk from spawning again. The best 2 here in my personal opinion is to take either
Nexus Blades or
Bolt of the Storm
How to deal with some heroes Top
Since I'm kinda of lazy to write a written desription of why to each character is the threat level they are I will tell you a few tips to deal with azmodan, chen and zagra. Use the healing effect of
Ravage on azmodan's demon generals, stun chen out of him driking his brew and azmodan to cancel his laser, use
Siphoning Impact on zagra's zerglings to heal back up and then chase zagra if you can but try to avoid her bangelings. Also if you ever get trapped in a nazeebo zombie wall just spam q come on it is free health he is giving you by spawning more enemies. It is better to actually practice in game and build up experience on how to deal with different characters with this build. I wish you luck and have fun :)
