General and Background Top
Hello, I'm a Master League player and have been spending my time all day playing
Sylvanas today trying out multiple builds to see what works best in what situations for
Sylvanas. I've come to terms with this build being the most viable on her as long as you have damage on your team. If not, I would suggest going with the Assassin Build for when you have 2 supports, or just a lack of damage.
I would like to state now that this is not a 1v1 "Who's your God now?" build. This is a teamfighting build that also has great defending, pushing, and chasing potential. If your soul purpose to to stretch your E-Peen on the stats board then look for another guide. However, if you want to win games, keep reading.
Let's get straight into the build, though.
Tier 1 -
Lost Soul doesn't seem like much at all, but it eventually adds up, especially being able to get a second one out during a team fight 2 seconds earlier. It will synergize best with the other talents you will be choosing.
Tier 2 -
Paralysis won't help you early game except for being able to micro easier, and guarantees you will not take any damage from Siege Giant camps. What it does is synergize with
Overwhelming Affliction. It is a game changer late game, so is a must choose for me.
Tier 3 -
Life Drain is going to be your sustain. You won't have to back as much due to being low health, and healers in team fights wont have to worry about keeping you topped off as much. Might not be as needed if you have a
Li Li on your team, but still is very viable.
Heroic Tier -
Wailing Arrow is by far the best of the two heroics.
Tier 5 -
As stated previously,
Overwhelming Affliction works wonders when paired with
Paralysis. You essentially become a
Tychus in this sense, except you don't have to constantly be up in someones face to slow them, nor have to wait on cooldowns as your Auto Attack applies the slow as well.
Tier 6 -
Cold Embrace is kind of the bread and butter of this build. You will destroy minion waves with a single W, you will destroy buildings faster, and best of not all, you will increase damage done to enemy heroes while slowing them at the same time!
Final Tier -
It's either going to be
Deafening Blast or
Bolt of the Storm here, depending if you need to get out of a sticky situation fast. This is usually against
Murky,
Diablo,
Stitches, or anyone that can put you in a very bad spot that you need to get out of instantly. Otherwise, stick with
Deafening Blast.
Playstyle Top
With this build you will be able to solo Siege Giant camps without taking a single bit of damage, however you won't kill them as fast as other Specialists can, which is the drawback.
During a team fight your job is to land your
Shadow Dagger and have it spread on as many objects as you can. The more heroes it lands on the better when you have
Overwhelming Affliction and
Cold Embrace especially. Use your
Withering Fire on whoever is in range, even if it is the enemies tank. It's better to be at safety and not allow the tank to escape than it is to dive into the middle of their team and simply die. Use
Haunting Wave only to escape or to chase a fleeing team.
It is not suggested to use
Wailing Arrow to snipe people. With the long cooldown and the utility you'll be missing out on team fights, that one kill just isn't worth it. If you're able to, instead use Haunting Teleport to get in range and slow them as you slowly tear them to pieces.
Conclusion Top
Sylvanas is a well rounded hero, and this allows you to preform above average in ALL departments of pushing, destroying buildings, and team fighting. I am for the most part leading Hero Damage, Siege Damage, and Experienced Gained in the games that I've played using this build so far.
