Chen is a warrior that has fallen behind in the Heroes of the Storm ranks. He is very tanky with his Fortifying Brew and provides great support with his intense slows with Keg Smash. This build is basically about utilizing Keg Smash to its full potential so you can you deny your enemy any chances of escaping from a team fight. Chen is very tanky and his Fortifying Brew makes it even better with an amazing shield and the ability to never run out of "mana." There are multiple ways to build Chen, but this is my favorite because it turns him more into a tanky support.

Tier 1

FULL KEG
This talent is best for this build because it increases the slow for another 1.5 seconds, which makes the slow last a total of 4 seconds. Keg smash cool down is only 5 seconds, so they can pretty much be slowed 80% of the time.

Tier 2

SWIFT REFLEXES
This is an amazing talent versus specific heroes like Zeratul, Illidan, or Nova who are severely dependent on basic attacks.

DEADLY STRIKE
This is a great talent to give Chen a little bit more damage to him, take this if you don't need SWIFT REFLEXES.

Tier 3

KEG TOSS
This talent is great for the keg build because it allows you to hit enemies from much further away to slow and damage them in order to catch up or finish them off.

COMBAT STANCE and BREWMASTER'S BALANCE are both really good talents which can be changed depending on your allies, enemies, and such. COMBAT STANCE is good for being more tanky with your fortifying brew, and BREWMASTER'S BALANCE is great because it gives you two different buffs for however much brew you have.

Tier 4

STORM, EARTH, FIRE
This is my main ult choice because it allows you put out more damage as Chen, and it gives you more survivability because when it's activated you split into three Chens all with full health. ;)

WANDERING KEG
This ult is weird and kind of hard to use, its great for pushing back enemies if they are trying to escape, but its not the best for team fights because it'll just push everyone away and spread them out.

Tier 5

A TOUCH OF HONEY
This talent is the best for the keg build because it makes the slow 40% up from 25%. That is an intense slow and with this build you can have a target 40% slower for 80% of the time.

Tier 6

PRESSURE POINT
This whole build is about slowing your target and this 90% slow is just amazing, plus its a ranged/gap closer.

CHUG
This is a great talent in tier 6 because it lets you get back into the fight much faster by refilling your brew twice as fast.



Tier 7

ELEMENTAL CONDUIT
This is my default talent choice for tier 7 because it allows you to deal more damage and apply more pressure to enemies. Chen's abilities are pretty low cool down so you'll be popping out spirits all over.

HARDENED SHIELD is great for hardcore tanky chen, and BOLT OF THE STORM is obviously an amazing escape which helps if you are getting stuck and stunned as Chen.

Chen is an amazing tank that most people do not use because there are better ones at the moment. Chen is still a great Hero and an amazing asset to the team if build right and played correctly. :) This is just one of the many builds that you can have with Chen and this is my personal favorite. Slowing helps your team alot when you win the team fight and your enemies are on the run, or when a straggler is trying to escape.

This build just basically makes chen into a damage/tanky warrior. All talents go into flying kick or some sort of damage and it's a fun build thats great for single target damage. ;)
