Great Guide. Would love if you added a bit of color around using hot keys effectively, like shift click to queue actions, or if even possible, to select 2 heroes at once using a hot key.
Thanks for all the detail in this guide! I'm wondering, how are you going about the microing other than jumping with 1,1, 2,2, or 3,3? Are you nudging the screen around, action clicking the mini-map, or clicking the mini map and then issuing commands? I'm sure it's a combination but I'm wondering what to train in as a good habit. ^_^ Thanks in advance!
I pretty much look at the mini-map 90% of the time and double tapping 11,22,33 to switch the screens between my heroes. (ex: I see at least two enemies near to Olaf, tap 11 then right click him back to the fountain with Z mount, then double tap back to my other viks to see how they're doing in their lanes) When my viks are together, as they should be later in the game for teamfights, I simply left click on them to micro around. But playing viks really comes with a lot of practice and a lot of good map awareness, so I'd say a good habit would be to try to keep your eyes locked on the mini map at all times and double tapping on the numbers to scroll through your viks quickly. If you can master that, then you can make playing viks look like a piece of cake :-).
Awesome guide! Recently started playing HOTS and don't have enough gold yet, but really want to play TLV mostly for nostalgia's sake as I played the game way back in the day and I feel they aren't really getting the love from the community as they should. Most people have played the newer more recent Blizzard games (WoW, Diablo) and barely even know this game ^^
Plus they are considered Very Hard in difficulty which motivates me to play them even more as it shows you have skill as a player in general ^^
TLV are simply not my cup of tea, but your guide helped me quite a lot! I truly think that TLV are under appreciated, because most people who play them just can't get the multi tasking done (much like Abathur).
