Featured Guide Top

Muradin is one of the most durable Warriors in the game. He excels at disrupting enemy targets by slowing and stunning them with his Basic Abilities. Being a hard engaging initiator, he is capable of dictating the pace of team fights and skirmishes. Muradin players are expected to draw the attention of the enemy to themselves, which allows their teammates to take an advantageous position. By the same token, Muradin has to use his crowd control abilities to peel for his fragile allies, notably Assassins and Specialists

  • Don't spam your jump, dwarf toss! It's damage is very low but it's mana cost is high. Using it too much will leave you too mana starved for a real fight and likely have your only escape or chase on cool down when you really need it.

  • Be wary of using your Storm Bolt in or near an enemy creep wave. Those little martyrs love to eat that stun and shield their heros. Be sure you have a clear line to the target.

  • When playing him, be very patient, burning out your abilities to engage isn't always the better solution. Be patient and use your Storm Bolt on a very low assassin so it can be burned down

  • Dwarf Toss is the only dash in the game with unstoppable frames. Next time you play against a hero with a predictable crowd control, such as Xul's Bone Prison , try using your jump to prevent yourself from getting stunned.

  • Use Thunder Clap before you try and land your Storm Bolt, the 25% slow makes it much easier to land your stun.

  • Be sure to weave in as many Auto Attacks as possible, you should be able to get one Auto Attacks after your W and then two Auto Attacks after your Storm Bolt

This skill gives Muradin his massive sustainability in lane. By simply not taking damage for 4 seconds, his HP regen increases substancially. This makes him a real beast in the early game as makes life easier for your healers as they don't have to spend as much mana topping you off.

Hardened Shield

Cooldown: 60 seconds

This talent makes Muradin just unfair in team fights where your leading the charge. Combining this with avatar and stoneform makes you nearly unkillable. Tank all the ults, eat all the damage and watch them weep as stoneform heals you right through it.

Storm Bolt
(Q)
Mana: 60
Cooldown: 10 seconds

This is his skill shot stun, making sure you land it is core to maximizing Muradins potential in team fights. Storm Bolt is a great tool for initiating on a squishy enemy hero or interrupting a channeled spell like the dragon knight’s knockback. Being a skillshot, aiming this particular ability can be tricky with heavy movement..

Thunder Clap

Cooldown: 8 seconds

Thunder Clap is where a great deal of your team fight control is going to come from, its the bread to storm bolt butter. A well placed thunderclap will force out a lot mobility skills from assassins as they scramble to shake the slow off. Use Thunder Clap before Storm Bolt to make landing the skillshot a bit easier, as well as to keep your target in range longer

Cooldown: 12 seconds

For being a beefy mountain king, Murdain has some serious jumping power. This skill is fantastic for initating a fight or resetting your position to something more favorable. It gets you over walls allowing yourself an extra few second to mount and run or slow down that enemy team from taking that map objective while your team is close behind. The damage this skill provides is negligable overal as the mobility this skill provides is the real boon.

Cooldown: 90 seconds

Muradin channels all of his beefy manly dwarven power and turns into his Avatar form. This grants him an additional base health and all of his auto attack down dole out mini stuns. This is an incredible ability to help him survive long teamfights. Getting yourself into the right position as well can help you knock those annoying channeling ults and the occasional Chen or Nova out of their brewsplit/triple taps.
