I have played many games with Anub'arak now, and I can safely say this has worked the best for me so far. It is focused on building a foundation of health regen that your team can later count on. Trust me. They will be glad when the cc train comes to town and brings gifts to all the good children on your team.
Regeneration Master- Grab regen master from the start. Get those globes early and often. I found the best strategy for this was to lane with a ranged assassin or specialist. This keeps you "tanky" early game because of their ability to deal damage within your cc. If there is a nearby merc camp being killed, GET THERE! It is a free orb and you can't afford to give these up for no reason.
Locust Needles- This talent is going to come in handy late game when you are standing in the middle of 5 enemies and disrupting everything in sight. Early on, this ability is mostly just to help push lanes/merc camps. But later you'll be doing good damage for such a tanky beetle.
Leeching Scarabs- This is your bread and butter. Throw on your shield, knock some people around, and watch as your health magically returns to you with hardly any effort. This talent combined with say, 2-3 stacks of regen master, are going to make you pretty tough throughout the match. Remember when I said "building a foundation". This is where it comes to realization.
Locust Swarm- This is when the enemy becomes your best buddy. You do everything together. Stick to them like glue. Maybe you are in a 3v1 situation with your team on the way. Throw this thing on. Get your beetles going. Suddenly you now have 3 dead enemies. Again. Regen Regen Regen
Burning Rage- Combining this talent with Locust Needles is so fantastic. You can chow down on some minions and keep up that sustain damage when tanking a team fight. Of course, coupling Rage with Swarm is going to just lay waste on some nearby squishies *cough* friends. People will want you need you with them at this point. You could afk on a merc camp for all they care.
Imposing Presence- A toss up. It comes down to this or blood for blood. I don't like having actives in my builds. Not because they are bad. It just seems to give up the uniqueness of the character you are playing. The attack speed debuff that is caused by this talent can be extremely helpful in team fights where you are fighting against an auto-attack heavy character. Valla is my prime example, but there are many others. If you don't need this talent by all means grab blood for blood. The slow and health from this item can drastically change a team fight.
Hive Master- For me, this is a no brainer. More life steals you say? All the time you say? :3
With this build you should have more than enough damage for a cc heavy tank. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Thank you for taking the time to read this guide and I hope it helps you win many a match with Anub'arak.
