Standard Build Top
This is the greediest of the 3 Raynor builds and requires you to have near perfect team fight positioning. Any form of displacement that pushes you towards the enemy team makes your job as a ranged auto-attack based assassin very difficult. Always stay at the edge of your auto-attack range, and focus on whoever is closest to you. If a warrior dives onto you, kite them instead of trying to kill one of their carries.
Survival Mode (My personal favorite build) Top
This build should be used when the enemy team has high levels of burst damage, and/or multiple sources of hard CC (stuns, roots). But, this build also deals less DPM. Adrenaline Rush becomes a more important part of Raynor's kit with this build, allowing you to stay alive longer in a hectic team fight. By level 20, feel free to choose Nexus Frenzy of you feel that the enemy team has no way of jumping onto you, but always choose the safer option. Remember, you can't deal damage if you are dead.
Maximum Survival Top
This build should rarely be used, but if the enemy's team composition is full of ways to dive on the back line, then you should at least consider this. This build is the exact same as "Survival Mode" other than the level 1 talent. In some cases, this one talent can win you the game, but make sure you are aware of when you need to use this build, and when you need to use "Survival Mode".
Conclusion Top
No matter which of these three builds you use, just remember that positioning is the most important part of playing Raynor, and bad positioning can cost your team the game.
