Thanks! Honestly I don't care how Malthael gets in this game, I just really want him in the game (But if he was designed like this that'd be sweet ;) ). Melee Assassins are my favorite class of Hero to play and The Butcher was honestly the least-hype I could be for a melee assassin...just never cared for the character. Malthael/Imperius are 2 Heroes I'm pining for right now. Sadly the line-up is Leoric/Monk next, so either of these Heroes are a full month+ out.

When you look at other Melee Assassins in the game, you will realize having 20% HP on Consume is not very large. Look at Thrall post-16, he heals like 40% of his max HP just by pressing E. Illidan uses Metamorphosis, has an ability purely for mitigation, has First Aid and Blood for Blood, and still gets blown up in fights if played wrong. The Butcher can heal 20%+ of his HP per Auto-Attack with his Brand. Kerrigan is the only one who doesn't have an effective source of HP, her...

He's pretty good for a couple reasons. On BoE, AoE nukes are very effective because of all the tight fights. This makes Metamorphosis both easy to land and useful for dodging said nukes. He can solo lane just fine, so the 4-1 split works ok for him, similar to Mines but it's solo vs solo so he works better there. He mercs well, and mercs are actually difficult to get on the map because of how much stuff happens all the time. I should say mercs are difficult to get without losing...

At the moment, I'm testing Regeneration Master and Thrill of Battle. So the build stays the same unless I can confirm one or both these talents are better.

Giant Killer's bonus damage is calculated as Spell Damage (fairly certain), so doesn't give more HP back from Vampiric Assault.

If you're taking Strafe because the enemy team has a lot of Ability Power Heroes that can't interrupt you, you shouldn't be using an AA build in the first place. If you're building for AAs why use a channeled Heroic that prevents you from AAing for 4 seconds? I also think Strafe is situationally objectively better - so RoV isn't the go-to for "Any skilled Valla player". I'd use a Multi-Shot/Hungering Arrow build if you know you'll go Strafe from lv 1. Immolation > Thirsting Blade still I think. I value Immolation's AoE DPS for clearing camps over the slightly-increased in-combat lifeleech.
