Rank 1 Guide: All Heroes. v2 Top

Being unable to save the new hero. I have remade my old guide which has 23,000 views. I will make this guide more comprehensive with proven strategies to win. More detailed hero analysis, using my 2000+ games of experience. If you enjoy any part of this article please like.

How to win! 99% Win Ratio Top

Winning Heroes takes more then luck or skill. It requires some of the following rules to get a strong win ratio.

Rule 1) A good attitude. A good attitude keeps everyone performing their best. It's a team game, you can be the world's best player. But if you talk your team down, or if your team has low moral they 'give up', 'stop trying'. You need positive encouragement to get their morale high.

Rule 2) A good leader. Yes that's right. You also need to be a good leader. You need to provide simple, clear direction. Players may not always follow, so remember rule 1. Players are entitled to do things the way they want. So I recommend suggesting this or that, instead of being a dictator. People respond a lot better to suggestion. If someone wants to do their own thing, maybe they have low moral. So encourage them on something good they have done this game. Which brings us to....

Rule 3) Find the positive. Although this is a combination of 1 and 2. You need to *song* "Always look on the bright side... of life".... Find the positive in everything. If your grumpy behind the keyboard. It will come through as that. So smile. Never say anything negative to anyone ever. If you have a team mate who is SEVERELY UNDER PERFORMING, try to find something nice to say. Like "your really good at laning nazeebo, thanks for soaking bot. Would it be okay if you join in the next team fight, I'll heal/tank for you, I'll dps with you." example of what not to do "NAZEEBO YOU SUCK YOU DONT HELP THE TEAM YOUR S#*T F*#KING BE USEFUL". Choosing the 2nd option is a solid way to lose the game.

Rule 4) Dealing with hate. Okay there will be times you instantly dislike people. It happens. Someone is name calling you all game and your trying to be positive, giving the best advice you can and someone is still a **** to you. Ask them to "please stop". If that doesn't work immediately mute the person. Never argue, as much as you may want, don't encourage others to mute or report, just simply ignore them. As I promise you if you start talking about report, report, this hater will just report you. And you'll potentially 'cop' an account silence to. Seen it happen. Lowering team morale is the BEST way to LOSE. So just ignore/mute, don't feed, just focus on being the best person/ hero you can.

Rule 5) Be the REAL hero. Okay so there is someone you don't like. (THAT DAMN RAYNOR, who is always soloing, feeding and name calling). Being the real hero is someone who still heals that person. The objective of the game is to win. It's not about making best buddies, playing favorites, getting caught up with toxic, salty shenanigans. It's about the win. The achievement. Being the real hero means you heal/tank for/dps support/peel even the baddies on your team. If you do that you'll most likely win.

Rule 6) Never give up. No matter how bad the game looks. Keep going. Won more games then I can count with a good attitude.

Rule 7) You may not always win. At the end of the day blizzard aims for a 50/50 win rate. You may not always win every game, due to the randomness of quick match. Or maybe you have a team mate that is just completely high/drunk off his face. Just do the best you can and pat yourself on the back at the end of the game. Don't soak in misery. I always recommend a 5 minute stretch or walk after a loss. Never jump back into another game straight away. Because you will carry the baggage of the previous game with you (unless your a super emotionless robot). So get up, have a glass of water. And prepare for that win streak again.

Rule 8) Plan ahead: So you want to play quick match. What are this week's free hero's? Is their a pattern. Maybe they're all healers? So you should consider being an assassin. When you see the load screen, who can merc? Suggest and Encourage them nicely to merc asap. And which lane where they in? Who needs to cover for their lane. Etc. etc.

If you follow the above rules, I can guarantee you will have a 99% win ratio. High morale team, performing in cohesion with good leadership and trolling is the best way to succeed. GL HF. Like the article if you got this far!

Abathur Top

The Key to Abathur is supporting your team.

With Abathur their is 2 viable builds. 2 Play styles to suit the player. Being a 'team' game I strongly support this build. The key to being a good Abathur is watching the map. You need strong map awareness, and you need to help melee generally over ranged. With time your experience and skills will improved. Especially in the beginning really focus on your team skills. They will love you for it.

Talent 1: Pressurized Glands If you're playing QM and no healer choose Regenerative Microbes
Talent 4: Adrenal Overload If you're playing QM and no healer choose Sustained Carapace
Talent 7: Needlespine Note Calldown: MULE is a great option for certain maps. Consider the environment.
Talent 10: Ultimate Evolution Best to clone assassins to get the most use out of it. Get the enemy to force using ultimates on the clone, then support team with symbiote.
Talent 13: Soma Transference Being a support role, (thats what you are) this is a strong choice. Alternatively Spatial Efficiency I don't overly recommend Bombard Strain as you need team mates to soak forts as they are destroyed for maximum efficiently. Also this build is a support team build.
Talent 16: Envenomed Spikes Best for setting up kills.
Talent 20: Hivemind Twice the healing/twice the damage/twice the support.

The following abathur build is great for solo players who enjoy lane pushing and need a 'sea change' from carrying team. Also strong for setting up kills if you have a competent team. Being a team game I still recommend the first tree.

Talent 1: Envenomed Nest
Talent 4: Prolific Dispersal
Talent 7: Vile Nest
Talent 10: Ultimate Evolution Can also be used to escape, when dropping nests in enemy territory.
Talent 13: Bombard Strain the new meta. (miss Assault strain)
Talent 16: Locust Brood
Talent 20: Locust Nest

Anub'Arak Top

The Key to Anub is being a team tank. Be front-line in team fights, but watch and peel your rear team with stuns. Don't tunnel vision.

Talent 1: Regeneration Master
Talent 4: Legion of Beetles
Talent 7: Leeching Scarabs
Talent 10: Locust Swarm
Talent 13: Burning Rage
Talent 16: Blood for Blood better sustain for living then Imposing Presence Also secures more kills.
Talent 20: Hive Master unless your taking every ultimate in the game, this talent is better then Hardened Shield

Arthas Top

The key to Arthas is being a team tank. Be front-line in team fights, but watch and peel your rear team with snares. Don't tunnel vision.

Talent 1: Regeneration Master If you have 2 healers consider Block
Talent 4: Destruction Currently best talent for this tier.
Talent 7: Rune Tap Great self heals
Talent 10: Army of the Dead
Talent 13: Biting Cold
Talent 16: Frostmourne Feeds If your still taking huge damage spikes at this point pick Stoneskin
Talent 20: Hardened Shield

Azmodan Top

The key to Azmodan is being mobile, supporting your team. Don't solo all game. Nobody likes that kind of azmodan.

Talent 1: Sieging Wrath I find this more reliable over Taste for Blood I unless I'm being a solo master and non-team player SW is always better.
Talent 4: Glutony I have ganked so many players with this surprise self heal. It's fantastic talant.
Talent 7: Infernal Globe Great for assisting team with objectives, securing retreating kills.
Talent 10: Demonic Invasion My personal choice great passive hero damage in team fights to the unwitting. A lot of people do prefer Black Pool If you are a passive player, who always plays at the back and rarely dies. This talent would be a superior choice for you] It combines very well with Taste for Blood which is the main reason most people choose the two. I rather mobility, utility.
Talent 13: March of Sin Required for mobility.
Talent 16: Demonic Smite Why? Because unchecked it can provide great lane pressure. If you are taking huge damage all game Imposing Presence is far superior. But being mobile, self healing with All Shall Burn I find I often don't require it. If your team is lacking damage or always missing kills, or you aren't getting enough heals and floating in between the two previous talents. Blood for Blood Great for finishing and healing.
Talent 20: Perishing Flame Great passive damage again. Great in team fights. If your new to azmodan and dieing a lot consider Bolt of the Storm until you gain more experience.

Brightwing Top

Key to brightwing is staying in healing range of team, being mobile and watching map for where you are needed. Polymorph targets that produce a lot of damage or cc. Not just kill targets.

Talent 1: Hyper Shift Key is to be mobile.
Talent 4: Manic Pixie Increased burst healing
Talent 7: Mistified is best learning heal, and sustained heal talent. Phase Shield is more ideal for organised games whereby you would teleport to the tank in preperation for team fight. If can be used for peels but ideally mistified is better.
Talent 10: Blink Heal Great mobility, bonus is the healing part :P
Talent 13: Shield Dust Learn to use this well. And you'll have a great day.
Talent 16: Bouncy Dust If you have a team good at focusing targets Critterize Though more used in organised games. Can be used in QM if you miss kills a lot by 10%.
Talent 20: Revitalizing Mist Your role is to heal. No better talent. If your team needs utility consider Rewind pairs better with Critterize.

Chen Top

The Key to Chen is not jumping in to early. Be the team tank, watch your teams rear. Support and peel team as required, don't tunnel vision. Save your leap for setting up ganks. Bit like Zeratul, don't just blink because it's up.

Talent 1: Regeneration Master
Talent 4: Swift Reflexes Consider Amplified Healing if you have 1 healer and enemy team DPS heavy.
Talent 7: Brewmaster's Balance - Learn to use this properly
Talent 10: Storm, Earth, Fire - Great 2nd Life, and honestly kinda fun.
Talent 13: A Touch of Honey - Great for setting up ganks
Talent 16: Pressure Point - Great for setting up ganks
Talent 20: Hardened Shield - Great tanking talent

Top

The Key to Diablo is having a lot of 'souls' to be the best tank you can be. You still need to be a frontline to tank for team, however diablo is slightly more dps focus'd then other tanks. Has a shorter lifespan in team fights and best used as a secondary tank. Never jump in to early as diablo, wait until team is ready.

Talent 1: Soul Feast
Talent 4: Fire Devil Needed for building soul's quickly
Talent 7: Soul Steal
Talent 10: Lightning Breath for me it's just a lot better control then Apocalypse. Enemy won't stand in it. Line it up with a stun and gg.
Talent 13: Firestorm Needed for building soul's quickly
Talent 16: Domination The new meta. Also really strong for setting up ganks.
Talent 20: Hellstorm 50% duration mostly. Consider Lord of Terror If you find yourself dieing a lot.

E.T.C. Top

The Key to E.T.C. is tanking for the team. And using your stun not to early. Watch your rear team mates for peels.

Talent 1: Rolling Stone
Talent 4: Double-Necked Guitar
Talent 7: Loud Speakers Used for moving enemy team out of position.
Talent 10: Mosh Pit Try not to powerslide Moshpit, do the opposite.
Talent 13: Show Stopper
Talent 16: Echo Pedal
Talent 20: Tour Bus

Falstad Top

The Key to Falstad is being mobile, soaking lanes early game where your team is not, and using your utility to is maximum potential. Don't be afraid to fly over and help team gank. Consider watching the map.

Talent 1: Seasoned Marksman
Talent 4: Vampiric Assault
Talent 7: Secret Weapon
Talent 10: Hinterland Blast
Talent 13: Giant Killer
Talent 16: Hammer Time
Talent 20: Nexus Frenzy
