Abathur Power spikes: 4,7,20
2
Abathur Alternative talent choices: 13-Pacify(active) - against assassins or generally aggressive enemy.
3
Abathur Alternative build: 1,4,7,16 - W + 20 - Blessing of the Red (active) - better value, easier to play, less control.
4
Abathur E costs too much mana if you aren't getting refunds, try to hit enemies through minions (or slow tanks) to guarantee it.
5
Abathur Cast W behind your lines to avoid enemy focus or ahead of team when you're on the offensive but almost never on top of your team. Use Q on cd.
6
Abathur Use D (transform) after your W and behind your lines, don't be greedy with it.
7
Abathur R can be used while in dragon form to give you time for second W or to escape (instant cast while transformed), however using both of your major cooldowns at once means you won't do much for a while.
8
Abathur You are super strong at 20 in dragon form, however to get proper value it needs to be orderly teamfight with enemy fully commited. Work with tank to force those while you're ready.

2

3

4
Abathur The best use of W is to deny enemy skillshot but it should be used frequently in the first place.
5
Abathur Hitting enemies is generally more consistent way to get stacks than hitting minions, however use your own judgement.

4
Abathur Counterintuitevely ARAM Diablo is not a fighter but a sponge. Due to insane sustain you can take any reasonable poke with ease, however engaging can get you killed fast. You are the shield of your team, not a spear.
5
Abathur Move around in enemy range so that only 1 or 2 enemies can hit you and spam W. Walk from top to bottom to force the enemy to withdraw or stand in front of a wall. Charge at a right angle towards the wall, W towards enemy, E enemy, W again and retreat. Avoid enemy focus fire when possible
6
Abathur After 16 you can bring an enemy to your team with QEQ combo. Use shift command for E and watch out for enemy CC. Can be used to peel for your team against dive heroes by spacing the abilities and smashing them into a wall

3
Abathur Standart form is ranged, even in fights, Worgen is for finishing burst, desperate times and uncontested siege. You can mount or use R to switch back to ranged form without wasting E.

Abathur Alternative build - 4,13 - Q, 16 - Burst Fire (triple Q), 20 - Q - good when only ranged/siege hero on team. Alternative talents - RIP-tire is a viable ult alternative after the 20 upgrade.
2
Abathur Drop the traps to the side or under your team (defensively) so they don't get triggered on minions.
3
Abathur Don't sweat W too much, using it after someone gets cought in your trap or as a follow-up to tank cc is fine, so is using them to blow a backline enemy away or saving them for escape. Trigger W with D, triggers upon landing if activated mid-throw.

Abathur Alternative talent choices: 4 - blue E against melee assassins or heavy frontline 7,16,20 - Q, if you need the % dmg and can reliably hit 2+. Not advised. 10(20) - other ult if enemy can deny Pyroblast.
3
Abathur D+W on globe minion, Q in the middle of the wave.
4

5
Abathur Always use D+W pre-16, D+Q 70% of the time post-16. Q takes too much mana, use on pve or CCd target. Keep E and W for emergencies, unleash hell only when engaged.
6
Abathur KT isn't exactly a backline, even after 16/20. Your playstyle is to D+W and aa nearest enemy until they break and attack you. As long as you cast your spells after provoking the enemy you can die and you still did well. You are the bait (unless you're the only ranged dmg).

4
Abathur try to take some chip dmg every few seconds to keep the trait going
5
Abathur Ideal playstyle is weaving in and out of frontline while spamming Q and W (alternating between yourself and whoever needs healing), keep on the move and you will waste a lot of enemy's potential and concentration
6
Abathur Cancel your R (jug) if the healing is no longer crucia to save cd. Generally cast it right after Q (given E,W are already on cd) and cancel as Q becomes ready again, unless in serious trouble.
7
Abathur Q, E and dragon R targeting can be manipulated by positioning yourself too far from the targets you don't want to hit, generally Q targets the lowest hp ally, E and dragon R target closest enemy heroes

Abathur With 7,13 and 16 you'll gradually have more mana and uptime on Q, start applying it to whole team to prepare for fights. It's ok to refresh existing Q (at half for tanks and solos, at 25 for anyone) rather than cast it on someone who is relatively safe.
6
Abathur If your team doesn't need the mana from Innvervate (D), use it for the cd reduction. On casters whenever they're active and on tanks mid-fight.
7
Abathur If facing mana issues (pre-13), stop using E and use W only in emergencies or for good value (3+ Q active)

Abathur Power spikes: 10,16
3
Abathur Alternative talent choices: 4-armor E, 13-any
4
Abathur R from raven form is ludicrously powerful and unstoppable and should be your main focus.
5
Abathur Getting all 40 stacks without dying is your highest priority, hitting tank is usually the safest.

Abathur Power spikes: 4, 20 (those are the most notable ones, all talents increase your power greatly)
2
Abathur Alternative talent choices: 7 - any, usually speed, 10 - Durance of Hate, best used by casting before E+W combo.
3
Abathur Always use E+W together, even when out of position.
4
Abathur Your W does dmg only on the edge, try to jump in the middle of the enemy and pay attention to it when focus firing.
5
Abathur Q is there just to reduce E+W cd or to throw at incoming line of minions. Use at the very end of E+W combo or on cd.
6
Abathur Remember to autoattack post-13. Post-20 try to create a triangle from yourself, your shade and the enemy to hit with double nova.
7
Abathur Ultimate is best used directly after E+W and can be used just to fill the time before next E+W to create serious tempo advantage.

Abathur Your main dmg comes from empowered auto attacks, Q is mobility, W is focus-fire/filler and E is CC.

Abathur Most of the talents are good, even standalone. Full W (7-D, 20-shield) build seems ok, full E might work too. Pick what talents you like/need and don't be afraid to mix it up.
2
Abathur You can heal two far apart teammates by standing in the middle for Q jump. You can also 'carry' the heal a bit as there is a short delay between each the jumps.
3
Abathur Always start in your orc form to have wolf(Z) ready after casting. Treat it as a cd rather than alternate form.

Abathur Spam spam spam. Slowly push everything in front of you while leaving creep behind you. keep spamming even while kiting. It takes some time to build up the swarm, keep it going by killing whatever is closest to you.
5
Abathur Any enemy that dares to resist you should feel like it's 1944 and they just landed on the beaches of Normandy, otherwise you are doing something wrong. For the Swarm!
6
Abathur Place one nydus next to spawn (if you die) to travel quickly back. Place one nydus next to well to speed up the refreshment process. Place spare nyduses as you push. Do not use nydus in the middle of a push, it's better to have no mana than dead, overextended teammates.
7
Abathur Place creep behind walls, to the sides and in vents. Do not stand on the creep tumor, you should be on the edge of the creep when possible. Keeping it around is vital and the biggest challange you'll have.
8
Abathur You absolutely melt everyone focused by your roachlings post-16, especially tanks. Make sure to kill minions and enemy summons before fight or drop E near tank/far from minions to guarantee this.

Orientation Top

Use the list option (above hero name) to quickly find your hero. The letter after the name refers to hero's tier rank. Individual hero details in threat section, click "SHOW ALL" on the right (in progress). Some heroes' talents (especially pictures) are messed up or outdated, hover over them to read what they do.

Pick phase Top

Always look at all 15 options your team has. Pick as a team if possible but let people do what they want. Priority is to get a good healer, then any tank, then S heroes, then rangeds. There must always be a frontline, if there is no tank or suitable bruiser (Dehaka, Imperius) share the duty between two heroes (bruisers, melees, sturdy rangeds, summoners).

How to win Top

Your ultimate goal is to methodicaly destroy structures. The standart cycle is following:
1)kill minions as fast as possible
2)posture forward to get in range of towers
3)poke towers with spells for a few seconds
4)withdraw and prepare for next minion wave

-stay in the middle at all costs, if enemy flanks from the side just move to the opposite side of the lane, form a tighter group and ignore them/keep slowly pushing
-tap wells often, generally at 60% health/mana
-Try to zone enemy from their globes, secure yours and let caster minion come all the way before killing it
-keep your CC/movement for an engage and reasonably spam everything else
-stay within reach of your teammates, ideally spread with gaps the size of D.Va between you
-step forward if you have full hp and cds ready, step back when you are hurt or on cd
-if enemy has dive hero keep an eye on them, once they commit promptly burst them down while moving into a formation
-camps should be done secretly by a single hero or fast as a group when confident, generally camps aren't important
-once core is exposed withdraw to prepare for fight (mercs, mana, all alive), fight where the enemy wall used to be, not under the core
-focus minions and summons first, then care about enemy (I know I already said that but it's important)

How to communicate Top

Don't. Occasional retreat ping is all you need. Only exceptions are shutting up troublemaker (politely, once) or asking a teammate if they can play 'insert healer/tank name' in the pick phase.
